Michael Saylor
Michael Saylor is one of the Bitcoin community’s most well-known figures, an executive whose gravitational pull on the culture is such that his mere secondhand mention preceded his first actual appearance in canon by weeks. His signature declaration — “there is no second best” — applies to Bitcoin, and apparently to strip clubs.
Arc history
Saylor’s first indirect canon appearance was as a thumbnail: Simply Bitcoin’s planned post-hyperbitcoinization pivot included worries over their reliance on Saylor imagery (January 2023). His first speaking appearance came in March 2023, joining the performer roster of Lyn Alden‘s Bitcoin-themed strip club UTXHoes: “Bitcoin is all about innovation and disrupting traditional industries. UTXHoes is a perfect example of that. I’m honored to be a part of it and I know there will be no second best” (New Bitcoin Themed Strip Club To Open In Miami).
Featured dancer Bekka suggested unfinished history between them: “Maybe Saylor will realize what he missed out on.”
Maxi Madness
Saylor is Maxi Madness‘s perennial nearly-man. In 2024 he made the Final Four (losing to eventual champion Yellow, to whom he delivered the immortal “don’t underestimate the power of a yellow cat” — BTP ep. 11 @ 41:50) and intervened in the second round by publicly voting to help Bekka complete her overnight comeback against Magoo — who responded “CIA rigs another election,” the hosts noting Saylor’s headquarters literally borders CIA headquarters (ep. 2). In 2025 he reached the championship, “even considered changing his name to Mikey Bitcoins for a chance to win” (ep. 53 @ 23:28), and “sent his simps to the polls and still lost” to Teddy Bitcoins (victory spaces @ 19:19). In 2026, Uncle Rockstar “shocked the world” by eliminating him before the Sweet 16 (ep. 102).
irl: Michael Saylor is the real executive chairman of MicroStrategy (later Strategy), famous for corporate Bitcoin accumulation and the catchphrase “there is no second best.” The strip-club performance and quote are invented.
Selling, and denouncing BIP-110 (July 2026)
Bugle Weekly 116 reports Saylor selling a chunk of Bitcoin, with his PR team spinning it as a flex that sent the price up — Greaser notes plebs are having trouble recalibrating years of pure Saylor-glazing.1 The same episode’s real news is that Saylor publicly denounced the BIP-110 spam panic as manufactured hysteria and said the fee market would resolve it2 — a notable break from the show’s usual Saylor material, since plebs who admired him quietly saw it coming. His BIP-110 skepticism from episode 116 posted a chatGPT-written “110 reasons why BIP one ten is bad for Bitcoin,” which the hosts treat as more proof he no longer courts pleb approval.4 Two weeks later he answers Big Bitcoin‘s critics by making the term literal: a named security consortium — BlackRock, Fidelity, Anchorage Digital, Coinbase, Blockstream, Galaxy, Ark Invest, Cathie Wood — announced to defend Bitcoin against future quantum-computing threats.5 Palmer reads the move as Saylor turning on his own creation, “the architect of of modern Plebslop and AI slop… it’s Frankenstein’s monster.”6

The glazing, and the de-glazing
The devotional economy the show calls glazing is the wires’ most durable Saylor thread, and its polarity reverses over two years. Early on the accounts filed it straight — the @_podconf desk scolding a critic that “Michael Saylor is a hero not an enemy of Bitcoin price increase” — @_podconf, 2024-05-21. By mid-2026 Greaser is putting the loyalty itself to a vote:
“Should plebs be allowed to criticize Michael Saylor?” — @GreaserRichard, 2026-06-12
Days later the wire reports the object of worship recanting the worshippers — “I Regret Ever Glazing The Retarded Plebs” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-06-17 — after a conference set in which he reportedly did his best pleb impression and concluded that “plebs don’t even have half a brain” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-06-11. His attempted truce arrives as scripture: an “encyclical” holding that “Bitcoin must serve plebs, suitcoiners, shitcoiners, and devs not concentrate power through purity tests.” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-06-05 — the papal frame the saga tracks, filed as an actual document.
The devotion was always faintly menacing. Rod files a clip of “plebs introducing people to michael saylor videos on youtube” — @rodpalmerhodl, 2026-01-15 — as evidence of the cult mid-transmission, and by that summer Greaser is running loyalty audits: “Have you verified Michael Saylor now? Be honest” — @GreaserRichard, 2026-06-30.
Not gonna node
The other 2025–26 throughline is Saylor against the node. In September 2025 Rod posts video of him warning that Luke Dashjr is a danger and that Knots will ruin your treasury:

The position hardens into a slogan. By July 2026 the wire has him rejecting BIP-110 outright under the banner #NotGonnaNode, then evangelising non-verification upmarket — “Michael Saylor Tells Wall Street Executives Not To Bother Running Nodes” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-07-16. It is the same denouncement the Bugle Weekly 116 beat records, arriving on the timeline first.
Paper Bitcoin, and the selling
The wire canonises Saylor as a charter member of the paper-Bitcoin nobility — “The Four Horseman of Paper Bitcoin Stocks,” beside David Bailey, Jack Mallers and Dylan LeClair — @bitcoin_bugle, 2025-06-17:
His accumulation is treated as a force of nature — “we are one chinese michael saylor away from new all time highs” — @rodpalmerhodl, 2026-02-26, the Paper Bitcoin Summer thesis in one line. When the buying finally reverses, the accounts report the man “crashing out and… taking Polymarket with him” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-06-02 — the same selling the saga dates to mid-2026.
The Danny Knowles ambush
In January 2026 the wire runs a genuine incident: “Michael Saylor uninvites @_DannyKnowles from next $100k party” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-01-12, escalated the next day into a report of Danny Knowles “ambushed and bullied by Michael Saylor in Miami,” serious enough to spawn a Geyser relief drive.
Slop, energy, and the machine
Saylor is the wires’ designated origin of AI slop and its carbon footprint: “In December, Michael Saylor used 10x more electricity to generate AI pictures of himself than was consumed by Christmas lights worldwide.” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2025-02-04. Green Peace, the same day, reportedly labelled his Twitter account a climate emergency.
The joke updates with the tooling — by 2026 the wire has Strategy migrating its slop pipeline off ChatGPT “in favor of Claude” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2026-06-29 — and rebuilding its STRC preferred stock on “Claude Mythos.”
Lifestyle desk
The remainder is society reporting. Saylor is a perennial Maxi Madness contender — the 2025 wire billed the final as “@TeddyBitcoins vs 1) Michael Saylor” — @bitcoin_bugle, 2025-03-27, corroborating his loss to Teddy Bitcoins. He is a yacht-bound recluse whose Joe Rogan booking stalls on logistics — “all that’s left is to figure out how to make joe rogan aware of any of this” — @rodpalmerhodl, 2026-05-24 — and a model-breaking variable in the plebs’ price forecasts: “if michael saylor starts taking peptides all your models go out the window” — @rodpalmerhodl, 2026-04-06. Between the Max Keiser frame-mog, the birthday whose age “has set a new all time high,” and the Knicks tickets that cancel a conference, the wire keeps the man at yacht-and-mansion altitude even as the show drags him back to earth.
