0:01Richard Greaser Bitcoin has never been more centralized and controlled than it is today. Yeah. I'm not talking about the sailor stamps. You know, the best compliment I think I ever got, I haven't gotten that many, but when I did get one afternoon, I was on spaces that, a, Bitcoin is money, and, b, run a note. That's the only way to your true Bitcoin or that's the only way you can use Bitcoin permissionlessly as censorship resistant money is to broadcast and verify monetary transactions by your own note. Focus on people who are telling the truth. Some of my favorite people who do that come to mind is, doctor Jack Cruz, maybe, Knut Spannholme, George Bodine. My Bitcoin node is for sovereign monetary use, so keep your shit off my node.

0:40Rod Palmer Back. What a roller coaster ride it's been the past few days. For those of you who don't know, the bugle broke the announcement that Foundry USA, which for those of you don't know, is the largest mining pool,

1:00Rod Palmer on Bitcoin. I don't know exactly how much percentage of the hash rate goes through Foundry USA, but it's it's it's a lot. The main burden is that they are going to allow a Democratic, vote of all the pool account owners, and they're gonna be able to flag virtue signal their support for BIP one ten or not. And if

1:24Rod Palmer 51% of the hash rate, in Foundry USA votes in favor of BIP one ten, then the mining pool will signal. And so the pledges were I mean, it it's static on Friday when this came out. It was it was all over social media. People were very unsure if they should trust the news because it came from the Google. But, you know, again, like, you should trust the Google as much as you would trust New York Times, and they wouldn't question if the New York Times reported it. What?

1:56Rod Palmer Big day. And then reality came smashing back, to slap the plebs in the face as it often does, but that that morning, Saturday morning, Michael Saylor

2:12Rod Palmer posted a chat GPT Slop article, a 110 reasons why BIP one ten is bad for Bitcoin. Now Stu Stu, TXO,

2:25Rod Palmer friend of the podcast who's been on here before, he made, the the point that it's a good thing they switched it from BIP four four four to BIP one ten because then Sailor would have to write 444 reasons why it was bad for Bitcoin. But that comes out and say well, I mean, listen, we can get into it, but Sailor being against anything that plebs wanna do is a huge, huge obstacle

2:49Rod Palmer in their path because Sailor is more influential than all these plebs. But right after that, a Pseudonymous backer, whatever you wanna call him, posted an article. It's you know, he had no followers. It's a brand new account, Dathan Hone,

3:08Rod Palmer a play on Dathan Hone, the author of Bipol and Tandon, the pseudonymous Coder. And it is a consensus bug that he found or she found, and it it basically if you switch

3:22Rod Palmer from core to to not bit one ten too late after the activation period, you your your node turns to plex slot. It basically won't stay on the right chain. It'll just validate stuff that's invalid. It it it basically puts you on multi you can't trust your node anymore. Your node is bricked. Your blocks become slop. It is so it's called the block slop. Block slop consensus bug. And blab. So, I mean, the post went from the top of the top of the world to back down and slop it in less than 24. It's not looking good. They're making press to do press conferences.

4:01Rod Palmer They're making videos, crying in their cars where some of them live in those cars. And it's, it's a tough it's a it's a tough summer to be it's a tough day to be a pleb. It's a tough week to be a pleb. And if that's not bad enough, if you're a pleb who's serving your country, serving any OCONs over in The Middle East, That war is going out of control, and we lost some, you know,

4:27Rod Palmer US military plebs, in Jordan due to hypersonic missiles from Iran. So just tough tough times for plebs.

4:37Richard Greaser It's a tough time indeed for Bitcoin plebs. You know, as we've seen, a few of them have been evicted out of their houses because they thought it would be a better idea to rent Hashrate and to buy Start nine nodes instead

4:54Richard Greaser of either mortgages or rents, which, I think is a misallocation of capital personally. But, you know, these plugs are pretty committed, and I just don't really I'm not sure what good it it does. I mean, it's like, if they had any chance of ever becoming an economic node, it seems like they're trying to, eliminate any opportunity,

5:18Richard Greaser to be an economic node by, self sabotaging for the sake of defending the network. But, just Belcher's out there telling influencers that if they support BIP one ten, they'll get paid more

5:34Richard Greaser than whatever core is willing to pay them. So that I thought that was pretty interesting. I'm not sure if you saw that, Rod, but it has been tumultuous indeed on the the front of the, pub slot kfabe on, Twitter. And,

5:53Richard Greaser you know, I think it's only gonna heat up as we're getting into this attempted activation phase, and, you know, the sports ball's over. The World Cup just ended right as we're recording this, and Spain came out victorious. Spain is victorious. That is a

6:13Rod Palmer tough tough this is tough for Argentina plebs. I mean, you guys got messy. And that's the thing. It's like, the plebs think they've got you know, you watch the the Avengers movie that came out and, like, the one with all the memes, the one before COVID. Like, there's been so many Avengers movies I know. But where the portals open up and all the superheroes come out and they go on, they go and they go and fight the bad Marvel guys, and the planets they've got that. They they could play they they got Huddlaut, they got Luke. Luke's like, you know, saved Bitcoin multiple times. They're against you know,

6:48Rod Palmer the plan has just learned to distrust Sailor a few months ago, like, this spring, basically. They they just start asking Noah Gold, you know, allegedly got suspended from Twitter because he was asking questions about Saylor being, or perhaps part of the CIA. And, you know, they they they think they they really do believe this has come down to and it's just, it's

7:26Rod Palmer they write a lot of pupslot parables. They they like to larve and and share their pupslot fan fiction, but they they just think this is one big pupslot fairy tale, and that the good guys win. And it's, like, slowly but surely starting some are starting to realize that that is not true. Like, Meet Creations is making waves on the timeline right now because he defected from the BIP one ten cult. And

7:52Rod Palmer needless to say, he's it's a block party. Everybody's all the all his old friends, all his old allies, all the guys he used to, you know, get glazed with at happy hour on the timeline at in yellow's, you know, don't stop believe in 04:00 spaces every day. No. I have none of those friends. They're they kicked him out of the group chat. He is now, you know, seeing clear, as they want to say, going quite clear. But, you know, now he's trying to pick up the pieces. He's gotta make he's gotta join new group chats.

8:25Richard Greaser Yeah. I've just been kind of baffled of what you know, a lot of these Gen X, Bill or Plabs, like Puncher, Tomer, George Bodine, you you know, these guys like this. All all the people that Justin Belcher says, you know, are trustworthy plebs. You know, what they're draw is to the bib 10 one ten colt

8:48Richard Greaser because part of the reason of joining the colt, I understand, historically, you know, from just reading about them a lot, is that the sex is good. And this is, like, one of the first cults I've ever seen where they're, like, out there, like, braiding developers about why they can't have sex, and it doesn't seem like the sex is good at all because they what they seem to do is they they they seem to sit around and, you know, just talk in Twitter spaces all day instead of having sex. Like, part part of joining a cult, you know, is to have lots of sex. Right?

9:25Rod Palmer It's the first it's the first celibate cult. It

9:29Richard Greaser it joined a cult to glaze each other digitally instead of physically. Yeah. I mean, like, even even, like, some of the cults, you know, like, the a lot of these cults, like, even the, you know, the super, like, kinda Christian religious ones, it's like, it's a great opportunity for your insult. Right? Because, like, the the the leader of the cult, like, will hook you up in an arranged marriage with, like, some hot chick. Right? Right. And, like, the only stipulation is, like, your wife will be able will have to have sex with the cold leader. So, like, in this scenario, like, you get a hot girlfriend or or wife, but, occasionally, she has to sleep with Luke.

10:10Richard Greaser Yeah. It's, they don't even get that. They don't even get that.

10:16Rod Palmer So what's the what do you think the appeal is? Because we know that it's not sex, or we know that it's not good sex.

10:25Richard Greaser What's the appeal to this call? Well, it's not sex, and it's not money because they're spending all their money on trinkets. That's alright.

10:35Rod Palmer To get into this call, you have to spend, you know, $790 to go to Plevsula University, and then you have to spend a thousand dollars on the start nine node. And that's that's just to get in at the Ground Floor. If you wanna if you wanna get any, like, respect or you wanna get into, like, some of the more exclusive group chats, you're gonna have to start buying multiple start nine nodes. I mean,

11:03Rod Palmer some of these guys are homeless, like we said, because they've got four or five nodes, and they're spinning up more. So and and, you know, those are not only expensive on the front end, but now it's you you gotta pay to store all this spam on your node. You have Fabians trying to poop on them. So now you're broke, you're sexless, and so yeah. Like, is what's the appeal?

11:31Richard Greaser Why I mean, there there are examples of this. I guess, like, Scientology is an example of this, you know, where individuals devote all their time and energy to it seems like there are some cults that exist that capture the the imagination of clubs where they they want to save the world. They feel like they're saving the world. And in order to attempt to save the world, they're willing to to give up money and sex. It's almost like, you know, the the Catholic church,

12:04Richard Greaser you know, is popularized this, you know, with, like, the priesthood and and nuns. So they take a vow of celibacy, a vow of poverty in order to find it,

12:19Rod Palmer you know, fall under that a clergy of nowherebriers.

12:24Richard Greaser Yeah. Pretty much. And and Luke is the the the pope the pope's pope.

12:29Rod Palmer Well, it's interesting because it's like the in the in the medieval times, right, like when the Catholic the Holy Roman Empire ruled the the plebs of the peasants, the clergy were like the gatekeepers to the scriptures, the gatekeepers to God's God's communication

12:50Rod Palmer to human beings. They were the gatekeepers of truth. They're the only ones who knew how to read, the only ones who had access to the scrolls and the scriptures to read the Bible, whatever. And so, like, the plebs are, like, they're, like, trying to role play as they they wanna be the clergy at this time. They want to be solid. They want to run the nodes and it's like, well, our nodes are the nodes that are truth. And if you don't if you don't produce blocks that are,

13:20Rod Palmer you know, compliant with what we say is truth, then we're rejecting them. And they they their plebnids are uniting to reject consensus valid blocks. They're not after truth. They're after control. They wanna gatekeep so they they wanna gatekeep they the the the time chain police we talked about this. They wanna gatekeep the blockchain. They wanna gatekeep the money.

13:47Richard Greaser Well, I mean, it's you and and the clergy in many ways was an honorary way for individuals to

13:59Richard Greaser try and, you know, take their lives and and level up an extent. Because, you know, for all of human history, individuals essentially organized via, like, some sort of caste system. Right? With, the majority of people unable to, you know, break out of whatever their cast is. And, you know, this is just you're born a plaid. It's hard to break out of that, you know, you know, all the like, it's just not everybody is born in the influencer class. Right?

14:34Richard Greaser And, like, a lot of plows a lot of plows want to level up and become influencers. Like, you see Justin Belcher. You see. They're just so thirsty for it. Mechanic is, like, one of the ones that's has successfully done it. They they've seen people like BTC Sessions. They've seen people like the Simply Bitcoin guys. Like, they there are these individuals out there that, you know, started out as plabs and, you know, successfully transitioned to becoming influencers, and they want so desperately to do that

15:05Richard Greaser themselves. And so they I I think it's part of, like, you know, this is their their level up.

15:13Rod Palmer The the last time, bit you you know, Bitcoin culturally really had, like, this this class new class of influencers who kind of took the the torch and kinda carried it to the point where we're at now. Or, you know,

15:31Rod Palmer were the mentors or the inspiration or the gatekeepers to some of the influencers that came, you know, in the subsequent year. Is the peep is is the influencers who won the block size war in 2017. The play you know, not the plus, but the the influencers who went on to be the dominant podcasters

15:53Rod Palmer and who kind of ushered in the new class of influencers and and Podkoff approved people were the were the people who won in 2017. So the plebs are sick and tired of influencers who they don't think, reflect their blood slot values. And they wanna, you know, they they wanna force this this fork war, this node war, this, like, blood slot block size war. And so they can win it, claim victory, and they can be the new influencers that the you know, their podcasters, their tower will be a mass premium, not, you know, this old guard who lost, who, you know, wanted to put Ethereum on Bitcoin as I like to say. I think one of the things

16:38Richard Greaser that's important. A lot of people are projecting this being a short battle. And, like, part of the reason why the Bitcoin Cash people largely went away is because they had a viable coin to keep them entertained for a little bit that has some monetary, you know, value, and it still does today,

16:57Rod Palmer oddly enough. And it you know? Right. And it was, like, number one on daycoin.com, and then, like, on CoinBase, like, it was at the top of the exchange list.

17:08Richard Greaser Yeah. I mean, it it's just It was relevant. It was relevant. I mean, a lot of people signed up for Coinbase at at the first time, and they're just like, oh, Bitcoin Cash, a cheaper version of Bitcoin. Like, we're just gonna pump some liquidity into it because we don't know any better. And then you got Roger Ver who, became incredibly wealthy, as a result of that and has been, you know, subsidizing Bitcoin Cash

17:32Richard Greaser development all over the place. They they have one podcast. They have a Bitcoin Cash podcast. They're always commenting on our post. And, I don't see the economic viability of Bitcoin Cash Junior

17:50Richard Greaser in this situation. You know, Luke, I don't think has the it unless, Dorsey put some funny behind, you know, the chain split, but it's kinda it's kinda the same thing with, you know, Paul's eCash work, because I don't really see it getting a ton of economic viability. And so what I think will happen is these people will continue to be annoying for, like, a prolonged

18:15Richard Greaser time. They'll they'll they'll come up with new crises, new solutions to try and fix Bitcoin or, you know, whatever. And and people are like, oh, well, they, you know, they lost any credibility. Nobody's gonna listen to them anymore. Whatever. I mean, look at Nick Carter. Nick Carter's still here. How long has he been annoying?

18:35Rod Palmer You're right. And, I mean, one of the big one teners, one of the Nazis himself is, Arthur Arthur Van something. While some people know what I'm talking, but this guy dedicated his life to correcting the record and being a reply guy to BSV, the Quincetoshi Vision people, like, years and years after

18:57Rod Palmer PCASH and BSV failed, even after Craig Wright, lost a lawsuit against Hovland and Peter McCormick. Well, it's gonna it's not gonna look exactly the same. It's gonna be a consolidation period because some of these guys are gonna literally crash out. I mean, they truly believe this,

19:17Rod Palmer and they're expecting to win. They think they're no matters. They're gonna find out. And they there's gonna be, like, a some some time to re to have a be they'll be in denial, but they're gonna crash out. A lot of them, they're gonna, you know, they lost on you know, they lose the prediction market, so they're gonna be wiped out financially. And a lot of these guys are gonna they're gonna have to liquidate their nodes to, you know, to to pay back some debts to

19:47Rod Palmer to get their find their house for their family. Like, they're not gonna come out on the other side of those successful. They're gonna have to sell their nodes. So node prices are gonna collapse, and there's gonna be a new breed of people who come in and buy those nodes, and some of them might ease them and turn them into economic nodes, if possible. But, hey hey, you know, some people are going to just disappear out of shame. They're not gonna be able to, they can't handle the, you know, being dunked on for being wrong once it kind of becomes general consensus that they that that it once it's over. And someone are just gonna, like, rebrand. They're gonna pivot. They're gonna delete. They're gonna nuke the accounts. They're gonna open new MIM accounts, and they're gonna come back and and just try to fit in. It's, you know, starting from starting from zero. They're gonna their social capital is completely wiped out. They're gonna have to build it back up. But, you know, it is people have lost or been suspended or or deleted accounts that come back.

20:45Rod Palmer What the order of the Phoenix multiple times is not impossible if you if you know what you're doing. But some of them are going to figure out what is the next long term strategy. How do we, continue how do we keep this trend going? How do we keep being annoying? And how do we keep crashing out about the threat of CSAM and spam and yada yada yada? The fight will go on, because bloods love to worry, and there's never gonna be a lack of things to worry about. Yeah. I mean, that as I was listening to you talk about that, I'm wondering what

21:14Richard Greaser percentage of the individuals engaged in all of this are trying to pull their own version of what Trace Mayer pulled, where they burn all their social capital and kinda disappear into the shadows for a little bit. Right. But, I mean, this is

21:32Rod Palmer for some, it's an exit strategy. It's a how do I credibly burn, you know, my online footprint, the this

21:45Rod Palmer the algorithms, the talent here, the the paper trail that leads how do I create a a compelling enough narrative to why I disappear? Right? So some of these guys are going to do like like Trace Mayer or or just countless other Preston Pysh. Preston Pysh didn't get to go out on his own terms. He kinda got forced out. AI Psychosis,

22:07Rod Palmer some of these guys are kinda looking to do that, but, you know, a deliberate on their own term style. Yeah. It'll be interesting to see.

22:19Richard Greaser I mean, I I wonder about commute sometimes. Can you even HODL, not specifically? If they're just pulling trace mayors.

22:30Rod Palmer Wait. I am Simekka. You think I am Simekka's trying to pull a trace mayor?

22:35Richard Greaser No. I I don't think Adam Symechka's thought that far ahead, unfortunately. He's just caught up in the slot. Yeah. Because these these guys that grow up in the Midwest, you know, they they they grow up and they're all they eat is corn their whole lives.

22:55Rod Palmer Corn fed blabs. Corn fed blabs are don't wanna mess with the corn fed blab. Yeah.

22:60Richard Greaser I mean, they're, you know, they're strong, but they're not they're not known for, their their Bitcoin technical expertise, so to say. Like, what we are when was the last time you listened

23:10Rod Palmer to a pleb from the mid from the Midwest for their game theory? Right? You know what I mean?

23:16Richard Greaser Yeah. Like, you I mean, you need, like, a ATV, like, bench press or, like, some strange thing or some some piece of heavy machinery. If you're looking for some

23:29Rod Palmer if you're looking for some homemade non KYC fireworks, you go to the Midwest. Yeah. If you're looking for if if you're an enterprise if you're an enterprise operation, mining operation, Bitcoin payments operation, and you need game you need, like, a a game theory guru,

23:48Rod Palmer He's out there in the Midwest. You go to a synagogue or, you know, you you find somebody who's Asian, you know, inside of code. You talk to them. Well, isn't that so strange that Berkshire Hathaway

24:00Richard Greaser headquartered in Omaha of all places?

24:06Rod Palmer Warren Buffett. Right? You know, Warren Buffett but, again, it's like, how did do you know how Warren Buffett made his money? It's selling selling K and B and insurance, you know, car insurance. Yeah. I mean, come to Midwest if you

24:20Richard Greaser wanna see a guy deadlift 650 pounds and then spring himself with ketchup and slide down a slip and slide down a grassy hill.

24:31Rod Palmer Listening to Toby Keith. But, I mean wrong with that. It's just it's all about trade offs. You just have to know you have to meet the right trade offs. So it seems like not gonna know it is is actually gaining some

24:42Richard Greaser popularity. It seems like Lars is leading a movement and people are getting pretty upset at him.

24:49Rod Palmer Well, it's with the with the consensus board disclosed by Dave and Pone, it's it's it's hard to it's hard to spin it as anything other than, like, knocking a note's the way to go because if you if you need to write a note and you have to switch to BIP one ten for whatever reason

25:11Rod Palmer after the activation, that's a risk. Like, that's your you're potentially harming your your business. If you what you but if you just if you don't have replay protection, you spend some coins, you might, you might lose. But if you just don't run a note and you leave your coins safely secured on Coinbase,

25:33Rod Palmer Coinbase has people who will be able to navigate the node risk, the chain split risk. The trade off you have to make is is compliance, but I think we've learned by now that, like, most Bitcoiners actually find find comfort in compliance.

25:53Richard Greaser Well, professor Connor was out there imploring Bitcoin exchanges to, like, come out and support BIP one ten. He he's he told all exchanges he's willing to forgive them for their past shit coining. He told Corey he was willing to forgive him for all of Swan's XRP holdings. You know? He flat out he flat out said that he would he would give

26:15Rod Palmer unlimited glaze free of charge to any exchange operator, CEO, whatever, who came out in virtue signaled for a good full time, like, fine, limited, on the house, pro bono glaze. I guess there was no duration

26:29Richard Greaser on how long he would do that,

26:33Rod Palmer though. He said for years to come, AbsaNakka took him up on it right away.

26:38Richard Greaser Does that look like a mono exchange?

26:40Rod Palmer Well, he said it he said that he doesn't. He's like that he talked about Mana Wallet, and he immediately got a retweet and some really high glaze from, for Prusher Crowder right after that. Corey did not respond. Corey typically jumps at opportunity to get some free glaze on the timeline he didn't he didn't I mean

27:04Rod Palmer I think people even acknowledge in that thread that Corey doesn't you know Corey Swan doesn't, like, run a node. Swan runs, Itco's node.

27:16Richard Greaser But Well, if there's one thing that we know about Corey, the one thing that he cares about above all is the opinions of the plums. Right? Like, plebs get mad at him. He crashes out. Plebs, you know, start holding him accountable. Sometimes he likes to get litigious behind the scenes or threaten to be That's true. That's true. Corey,

27:39Rod Palmer it wipes to sue people. And I think that a lot of people just wanna avoid they'd know that people if you do if you just bought five $1,000 start eye notes, you don't have enough money to afford a Jewish lawyer. Yeah. What's your, what's your rate on on,

27:59Rod Palmer Need Creations? You think Need Creations saw the like? You think that he had a, you know, an epiphany, a plug slop epiphany? He now kinda sees things through a clearer lens. Do you think that somebody paid him? Or do you think he saw an opportunity

28:20Rod Palmer and he took it? What do you think? What's going on with needs? I think he he's he has switched alliances. He is now, like, I I would say he's pro core, but he's definitely anti dipped one time.

28:34Richard Greaser I think he's trying to read the situation and, well, before before I get into my theories, there's some theories going on the timeline. Some people are

28:48Richard Greaser accusing him of being paid off. What I think is that what's that?

28:56Rod Palmer I said he wishes. I think that's he's always he's been he's always soliciting for for donations or contributions.

29:10Richard Greaser Well, this is one of the things that I find confusing confusing generally about, you know, the argument from the Nazis is that, like, they're trying to frame it as, like, there's this big Bitcoin

29:25Richard Greaser conglomerate, essentially, or or the Bitcoin core industrial complex. Right? So, like, these developers are funded by, like, a handful of companies, and none of these companies fund any of the podcasters. And let's talk about big so so big Bitcoin is, like, you know, with big pharma,

29:42Rod Palmer big defense. Now we got a big Bitcoin. So it's like, it's like, Avoo's I know, I you know, obviously, Saylor counts as big Bitcoin. Well, he's he's big paper Bitcoin. He's in a completely different league. But yeah. But what's big Bitcoin? Like, how who do who are the faces of big Bitcoin? Because I think we need to I think we need to fab I'm not saying we need to, but I think it's important

30:09Rod Palmer that we figure out who big Bitcoin is. Do they figure out who big Bitcoin is? So we can

30:14Richard Greaser I I disagree? Like, the the the reason why this these terms work is because there is no face of it. It's a invisible enemy. It's like, you know, COVID was an invisible enemy. The climate change is an invisible enemy. Like, all all these extremism, political extremism is an invisible enemy. Terrorism is an invisible enemy. It's just like this this lurking enemy behind the shadows, and and they

30:42Richard Greaser it it it's like when when Paul Cruz calls somebody, you know, yells about the Fabians, it's an invisible enemy.

30:51Rod Palmer They're out there. I know, but but that but I'm trying I I wanna make the the the quote, unquote enemy visible, even if it's just to troll them because, you know, nobody wants to be the face of big Bitcoin.

31:05Richard Greaser Well, I think it's the it's the pawn comp four horsemen, essentially, but they're selectively choosing which horsemen to to target. They're not gonna go after Jack Mallers in this situation even though he's part of Big Bitcoin. They're not gonna watch Jack Dorsey. Oh, no. They won't touch Jack Dorsey in this situation. Jack Dorsey is, like, if it yeah. I mean, he'd he'd be the king of big Bitcoin,

31:27Rod Palmer don't you think? Well, I I I I asked because Justin Betzler is not afraid to name names. And if there's anybody there's any two people that Justin Bessler is not impressed with and who likes to call out on a regular basis, it's who we just talked about. It's Jack Mallers and Jack Dorsey. Matt O'Dell is another one, and Saylor. Those are the those are Bachelor's big Bitcoin pod comp for Orspen right there, I would say. They maybe Stefan Lombera is close-up there too. David Bailey?

31:59Rod Palmer David yeah. Of course. Like, so like, these some of these guys definitely have, faces that they I mean, I mean, what does Justin Beschler do? Right? He posts a picture of all the faces. Walker's face, Jameson Lop's face, Stefan Barbera. He's like he calls him the shady bunch, you know, and he he he demands their suberis.

32:22Richard Greaser He loves to he loves to face he loves to post the faces. Yeah. I mean, I guess big Bitcoin is just like an alternative term to try to find what PodConf is.

32:32Rod Palmer There we go. I mean, it sounds they so I'm just trying to reinvent the wheel, essentially.

32:38Richard Greaser Well, what they're trying to do is they're try instead of doing any sort of real investigative journalism, they're just trying to transfer do a they're trying to transplant Publiuslaw from the fiat world into the Bitcoin world. So they're just picking populist pepeslaw talking point out. It's like they're going down the list. They're they're listening to all the stuff Bernie Sanders is saying.

33:06Richard Greaser And they're like, how can we they they go on to chat CPT, and they're like, how can we put a Bitcoin pepeslaw spin on this? Oh, we have to stop big Bitcoin. That's the solution. Stop big Bitcoin. The Fabians, they're pooping on our nose. How do how do they

33:23Rod Palmer I'm where did they get the energy to continue this unwinnable fight against this amorphous, ambiguous, overpowering force that it just it's like the head of Hydra, Meta Rose had you cut off

33:39Rod Palmer once sprouts up behind it.

33:42Richard Greaser Well, I mean, have you ever been sexually frustrated? Do you know how much energy you have when you're sexually frustrated?

33:52Rod Palmer My most sexually frustrated days were my teenage years, and I had lots of energy because I was young. I was, you know, before there were broccoli haircuts, there were bowl haircuts and I had a bowl haircut. And I had tons of energy and I was actually frustrated. Most of these guys are boomers and these so the only thing I'm thinking is most boomers are tired I think about it. My boomer dad falls asleep on the couch, doesn't flip slops, snores in his lazy tree. His lazy boy, he doesn't have time

34:24Rod Palmer to battle alongside a stoned out of his mind telomer against big Bitcoin every day on the timeline in spaces. So I guess my my question I'll reframe my question.

34:38Rod Palmer Is it the peptides? Are these guys on peptides? Is that where they're getting the energy for this?

34:43Richard Greaser I don't think they can afford peptides largely. Maybe maybe a small portion of them, but, I mean, like, a lot of these plabs that are very passionate about this, and they're they're pretty, like, flabby. You know what I mean? They're not spending a whole lot of time at the gym. Because I think if they spent more time at the gym, they wouldn't be so frustrated either. More time on the gym, less time on spaces.

35:09Rod Palmer More time at the gym is listening to podcasts instead of arguing about shit you don't understand.

35:15Richard Greaser Yeah. I mean, I don't know. It's like, going to space is kinda like going to the YMCA men's locker. You know what I mean?

35:24Rod Palmer At least on spaces, the boomers are naked.

35:28Richard Greaser At least you don't know. At At least you can't see it. Well, yeah, I would just assume they are. You you you think that Puncher, Club Crews, or or I guess Club Crews isn't really on there. You know, Tomer is sitting there naked when he's on spaces. Right? Darkseid.

35:42Rod Palmer Tomer. I mean, yeah. Well, Tomer for sure. But, like, Darkseid, Puncher, Fred Krueger, Gary Cardone, you're saying they're all naked?

35:52Richard Greaser Gary Cardone's probably in a suit, but the rest of them, yeah, probably naked. I mean, that's why Gary Well, that's why that's why they

35:58Rod Palmer He went in there. That's why they don't like Joe Carl. I'm sorry. Where's the spaces on? Where's the suit to go in spaces?

36:05Richard Greaser Well, Gary Cardone walked in there and was like, hey. You guys need to start acting like a a bunch of adults who just, like, y'all sitting there naked yelling about poop on each other's nose all day. It's just what are you guys doing? Like, how how are you trying to actually do anything productive by doing that?

36:23Rod Palmer I I I got I don't know how to prove it, but I bet you Nancy Crowder's done done episode of Bitcoin University, ain't it?

36:32Richard Greaser I I can tell you that the and our listeners know this. We've never done this podcast naked.

36:38Rod Palmer No. No. You don't pod you respect the the medium too much for that. So it's really coming down to, did the nodes matter? And as a show of force a few weeks before mandatory signaling, the Pleiades have ruled out the mother of all nodes.

36:58Rod Palmer It's the largest non economic node ever built. This thing can I mean, this thing can store spam for for a thousand years? It's it's on the like, it's straight up hooked up to Starlink fiber. Like, this thing is virtue signaling with zero latency twenty four seven for BIP one ten.

37:21Rod Palmer But, you know, it's it's it's kinda like the war with Iran. The plebs have all the nodes. The plebs have the biggest, most expensive nodes. The US has the biggest, most expensive military equipment. Doesn't seem to be working against Iran. Iran seems to be firing on all cylinders. They got drones and missiles for days. They're taking out bases all over The Middle East. Maybe it's not about maybe it's not about notes, or it's not what we thought about notes. You know what I mean? Like, the the the the plex slot fairy tale about the node runner, we we've talked about this a little bit before.

37:59Rod Palmer We've gotta we've gotta get past that. Do you know where they deployed this mother of all nodes? I don't I don't know the the geographic location.

38:09Richard Greaser I wonder how much electricity you use, like, how many

38:12Rod Palmer bin access it was worth. If I had to guess, they probably deploy the mother of all nodes somewhere in the Midwest or Colorado in the mountains to kinda protect I mean, they got protected from Fabians. Right? Like, it's gotta be like, if the Fabians pooped on the mother of all nodes, that would be devastating for them. So I'm sure it's like, you know, like Fort Knox type protection.

38:39Rod Palmer You got, like, you know, blebs sounds scary, but blebs with automatic weapons surrounding this thing defending it. Yep.

38:48Richard Greaser I've just been somewhat surprised, you know, throughout all of this that the Binax camp has has not been

38:59Richard Greaser very supportive of the BIP one ten crew. Because, you know, up until this point, I I mean, I guess different, like, trinket there there's trinket tribalism, so to say, where, you know, different trinket like, you've got the MBK trinket people, the cold card people, fighting with the seed signer people,

39:23Richard Greaser fighting with the tracer people, fighting I I don't really know if there's ledger people anymore, but, you know, maybe there are fighting with the bid box people. You get the the various bid acts factions. You got the different node implementation people, the Umbrel versus StartNine, but they they seem to be a little bit more friendly these days. MyNode used to be very popular. I don't know if they're still around. But it seems like, you know, the the bin axers have kind of taken offense

39:56Richard Greaser to the node runners because they they have acted with so much entitlement negating any value that miners provide the Bitcoin ecosystem. And I think, you know, the node the the bin axers feel massively slighted. So I I wonder if we could see in the next few weeks that they deploy

40:18Richard Greaser a really big bid ax next to the mother of all nodes.

40:25Rod Palmer Yeah. It's curious because you would think if you were leading, like, a you one of these these plaid revolts, the the first the very first thing that she would do would get the buy in of the bid app runners. You're

40:43Rod Palmer gonna need all the hash you can get with these nodes with this type of you know, it just really goes to illustrate how unseriously

40:58Rod Palmer this whole campaign has been. They had they didn't even take the time to get the no the the BITEX run the BITEX clubs on board, they went straight they went straight to sailor, they went straight to sailor in Lynn Alden and tried to to throw a knockout punch, and they missed. And they don't have they just don't have the numbers. They don't have the hash behind, and they didn't even seem to try.

41:28Richard Greaser Well, I I think there's just been a misinterpretation of what the the stated goals of the entire movement has been, including amongst many of the participants of it, is they they think it's actually a technical discussion

41:44Richard Greaser about Bitcoin development, but in many ways, it is a political statement more than anything. It's like when the libertarians

41:55Richard Greaser run any candidate in any election, they're not trying to win because they don't win. And yet the party still continues. Right? So they they know from the offset the goal isn't to win, that it's not really, you know, realistic that they're gonna win. But they they at the at the same time, they they pretend like, you know, the the libertarian presidential candidate will talk about,

42:20Richard Greaser you know, the future as if they're actually getting elected. You know, they they do that because they have to rile up the base, you know, because there's a bunch of dumb plabs. They they they find a a greater sucker to come in after them, and they, convince him to join the movement.

42:40Rod Palmer And,

42:42Richard Greaser you know, they then they afterwards, when they lose, they said that the goal the stated goal the whole time is to educate other dumb clubs about a topic, right, about the topic of freedom. It's like, this is why Ron Paul was so popular because he educated so many dumb clubs about, like, why taxes should have stopped and why you should audit the Fed. You know? Despite neither of those things happen. And so, like, in this case, like, you know, what have been the actual goals of this? Well, it's

43:14Richard Greaser it's to fund. Like, the the the stated goals of BIP one ten is to fund. It's to convince people that that Bitcoin is for storing CSAM. It's, to convince people that, the core devs, you know, they they don't do anything all day except for, like, have sex and that they shouldn't have sex is to convince people,

43:36Richard Greaser you know, optically that, you know, podcasters aren't important

43:43Richard Greaser in the ecosystem is to convince them that minors aren't important, that that club notes matter, that, you know, you know

43:52Rod Palmer Clubs pubs just love to worry. They clubs are worry works, and they don't care about the truth. They just wanna worry about things. And they want you to be worried too. Nothing makes these guys chimp out harder than you not being worried.

44:09Rod Palmer You have to you have to be worried. You have to be worried about the same things, and you have to be worried about fixing these these problems with these worried plug slot solutions. And anything that gives them the opportunity to worry, they're going to value over the tricks. And if you don't if if the truth is that you shouldn't have to be worried,

44:34Richard Greaser they're not going to accept it. Poor guys. I don't know. Should should clubs be allowed to even be a part of the discussion? That's where I'm kinda wondering in the midst of all of this. Like, some serious interventions need to

44:50Rod Palmer be ran. They certainly they certainly haven't provided enough value to justify being a part of the conversation.

45:00Richard Greaser Well, I guess the last topic we're gonna discuss tonight is, seems like the war is getting intense again. Have you been monitoring the situation, or are you, too focused on

45:13Rod Palmer I've been monitoring a little bit, but just keeping in just keeping tabs on things, so that, I can make good decisions and get purchases on prediction markets.

45:28Rod Palmer Well, I yeah. Yeah. It looks like it's it seems like the the July 4 ceasefire, was served multiple purposes. It, it died things down so that there was a that, you know, Trump didn't have to get Congress to declare war, because the war, you know, ended with after sixty or so many days, whatever, is in the resolution. It also allowed him to have the UFC and, like, the fourth of July party

45:59Rod Palmer and for him to get glazed without people talking about the war. But now it's back, and it's it's really spiraled out of control. Things like they've been bombing the hell out of, like, Jordan air bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, Saudi Arabia. These these are acting up. US service members have been killed in recent bombings. It it's gonna be difficult. They've big closed up straight on our mission. It's gonna be difficult to, you know, dial this one back down.

46:30Rod Palmer But, you know, about to say that Trump well, everybody says that it's thought that, you know, nobody can get us out of this. Trump seems to figure out some way to convince people that there is. So I don't know. But it's kinda early, and I think time will tell because the economy right now is fine, but, you know, who knows what if it'll be fine tomorrow, and the midterms are coming up. So

46:56Rod Palmer anything can happen.

46:58Richard Greaser Well, I think once what it's never been a time better time for central planning when it comes to economics. It's, this is, like, one of the things the Austrian economist never really predicted was what would happen when,

47:16Richard Greaser humans got access to chat GPT and Claude. You know, because, like, there's all this economic theory about, like, how things are too complicated for, like, any one, person to know, like, you know, when you're in school, you have to read that essay called I Pencil or whatever

47:38Richard Greaser about the pencil shop. You know what I'm talking about? Explain the complexity of the economy.

47:44Rod Palmer Right. Yeah. Right.

47:47Richard Greaser But now you can just, like, every every week, there's a new model that comes out that's more powerful than the last. And so, you know, each new model becomes more astute at, making, plans over centrally controlling the economy. And so, like, if if anything, like, there's even less reason to worry about

48:11Richard Greaser the economy now.

48:15Rod Palmer Well, like I said, plants love to worry. So if if people start monitoring the situation again, they they're gonna get worried about the economy. And it doesn't matter if you need to worry about the economy. The fact that people are worrying about it affects politics, and it gives politicians the ability to ask more regulatory clarity.

48:35Richard Greaser Well, you know, if the if the players wanna feel better, what they should go do is they should go on Twitter, and they should ask Gronk how to make the Bitcoin price go up.

48:45Rod Palmer Yeah.

48:47Richard Greaser I'll give him some, tangible activities to to feel better. Yeah. You got any, closing, thoughts before rolling these fountain booths?

48:60Rod Palmer No. No. I think that, it's been I'm looking forward to the wait for the next few weeks. I'll tell you that.

49:10Richard Greaser Oh, it's gonna be fun. First boost. Late stage Huddl. Finally got one in before the buzzer. 6006 ad says in early, so y'all actually read next week. Wasn't my fault. Found locks me out of my wallet for a few weeks. Shit emoji. Well,

49:30Richard Greaser congratulations, on the end of the lockout. We missed you. Just in time for, like, Satoshi.

49:39Rod Palmer Akashi Hayogo. 5,000 stats. Bit one tank crowd should go back to university, but this time it should be Austrian economics, not trader university. All I will say to that one is Austrian economics

49:57Rod Palmer would be a better, use of their time, the Bitcoin University. Although, if you've ever met Konza, I don't know. Maybe maybe he's maybe he's the exception. I don't know. Not all professors are the same. To

50:13Richard Greaser yeah. Not all professors are the same. Yeah. We could knock out might not it's too much to be a better resource or the Institute gets a master in schooling. Orange more. 5,000 sass is absolute banger. Take the trash out belongs on every, Bitcoin

50:33Richard Greaser playlist. And then I think did a clip of the song. Thank you, Orange Mart. Come on, Fallon. Hello.

51:02Rod Palmer 4,444 sats from Sasha. Sasha Hodder. I'm watching Webb's Cruz's belly. I'm watching Webb Cruz's belly get larger too. Lol. Gratiot. Hard not to see. Hard not to notice that belly of the gross.

51:21Richard Greaser Be kind of fun to sit with him in his own. So sir Spencer Wolf of KC three thousand three hundred thirty three says, your countering the kayfabe on Twitter has been nothing short of inspirational these these past few weeks. Cheers, fellas. Mister Spencer, the host of the, Bowl After Bowl podcast, thank you for listening.

51:47Rod Palmer Yeah. It's import it's important. I yeah. You called it countering. I think, you know, that's a good wrestling term. They just there just needs to be a mirror, the face and the heels. You just gotta we gotta reflect the kayfabe back at them. Shadrach. 939¢. Mile high boost. If I don't make it, please bear me with the podcast headphones, pack them on KYC cigarettes, my bugle lighter. Hashtag forty hours per week.

52:15Rod Palmer Amen, Shadrach. That's a good, Jessica, rattling cry.

52:19Richard Greaser I went I went on a podcast with, Rayo and Shadrach last night, and, I think it shocked them by, coming out as a neocon. I was just kind of in the mood last night to be a neocon in their view. I'm not actually a neocon, but they they were pretty dumbfounded to know what to say. So I just talked about how great Toby Keith is and yeah.

52:42Richard Greaser It was fun. Nosgay, a 101 statuses. T y. Well, y w, nosy gang.

52:60Rod Palmer BGC onboard. One undersaps. Thumbs up. Salute. Laugh emoji. Thank you. BGC onboard.

53:09Richard Greaser Well, you got, any final thoughts before we wrap this one up, Rob? Keep caught in the k, fib. Folks, Lake Satoshi is right around the corner. Hope hope to see you there, and look out for the value for value Chicago event happening September, some point,

53:29Richard Greaser done by the Chicago Bitcoin Collective. But you just listened to the most thermodynamically sound podcast in the world. This is the Vehicle Weekly, and we'll catch you next week.

53:56Unknown I called my name into a cedar fence, brainwashed half the letters out, the moon kept spinning like it always does, never asked what I was about. There's a million wires beneath our feet, a billion stars above. That's what they all say. We're pebbles in a river

54:34Unknown getting carried anyway. But if nothing lasts forever, then let me have tonight. I'll shake my fist at heaven even if heaven's right. My neighbor says just let it go. He's probably not mistaken.

54:55Unknown Still, I keep another match for bridges already breaking. The mountains never learned my name. The oceans never cared. Still, I sing a little louder like somebody might be there. Knowing you're a grain of sand can make you wanna start

55:42Unknown a landslide. Knowing you're a drop of rain can make you dream of flooding coastlines. Maybe that's the joke of it. Tiny hearts, enormous storms were too small to move the planets big enough to break our own.

56:07Unknown A player who knows don't matter. Maybe that's the truth. The stars won't miss our arguing. The sky won't need the proof.
