Dennis Porter Declines WEF Appointment: States He Is Too Important

Richard Greaser reports that Dennis Porter declined an invitation to join the World Economic Forum’s Global Young Leaders — a decision Porter announced on someone else’s Twitter Spaces, which he then repackaged for his own YouTube channel. His stated reasoning: “I was flattered that they considered me as an option to join their Global Young Leaders, but I feel that I can get more Twitter followers and meetings with important people on my own.”

Mike Alfred endorsed the decision, citing his own “uncounted number of meetings with billionaires and CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies without the WEF’s help,” and expressing surprise that Davos had not yet invited him personally.

The article notes the WEF appeared to be recruiting Bitcoin figures with “serious amounts of clout,” with unconfirmed speculation that Robert Breedlove had also been contacted.

This is the first recorded chapter of the Dennis Porter saga, establishing the two constants of his canon: relentless self-promotion, and the measurement of all things in Twitter followers and meetings with important people.
