Rodolfo “NVK” Novak is the founder of Coinkite and the Bugleverse’s most litigious hardware-wallet executive. His Coldcard and Block Clock products recur throughout the storylines/hardware-wallet-wars, usually as proof that a security device can also be a personality test.

Mathematics and licensing

Bugle News introduced NVK through an argument over free and open-source software, reporting that the exchange exposed a deficiency in eleventh-grade mathematics.¹ The licensing argument later supplied the premise for his North Pole case: elves were allegedly manufacturing Coldcards for orange-pilled children, so NVK sued Santa Claus.²

Big Bitcoin acquisition target

After a Coldcard exploit became the hardware-wallet war’s “emperor has no entropy” event,³ PODCONF reported that Big Bitcoin was negotiating to acquire Coinkite’s “discounted toxic Coldcard assets” and relaunch them as BIGCARD®.⁴
