Transcript: Are You Pivoting | Bugle Weekly Episode 121
0:00Richard Greaser This is the Bitcoin podcasters creed. I'm a Bitcoin podcaster and a member of the most important financial revolution in history.
0:08Rod Palmer I educate the plebs, suecoiners, and pioneers, living the values in which I preach.
0:14Richard Greaser I will never accept defeat even in the darkest of bear markets. I am disciplined both physically and mentally tough.
0:24Richard Greaser Hall of becoming a Bitcoin podcaster is not for the faint of heart. We have never lived in a more adversarial time to be a podcaster. Do you have what it takes to share signal to the world in such trying times?
0:37Richard Greaser Welcome back, folks, to Dig Weekly, and I think we were all in need of a morale boost after the last few weeks. And boy, did we get it. We just witnessed the funniest, most anticlimactic and two months of squabbling about nothing. The plebs, the Pleb Revolt has been defeated. Matt Kratter and Luke and The Mechanic and, you know, all those goofballs, Justin Belcher,
1:06Richard Greaser they have forked themselves off the network. Some are crying, some are insisting the battle's not over. Luke thinks that, his fork is the real Bitcoin and that everybody else forked off of him.
1:20Richard Greaser You know, it it's his world. We're just living in it, folks. But, it's been a great morale boost. It's over. We're done with it. We're done with the stupid Nazis and now we can talk about serious issues. We can, you know, get back to separating money and state, taking on the feds, taking on big Bitcoin,
1:43Richard Greaser doing the important adult work. We we had a fun distraction for a while, but it's over and, how are you doing, Ron? How are you doing with this transition? Are you sad that that the shenanigans are over for now? No.
1:56Rod Palmer I mean, like, Luke is a well, I don't even know how to say it, a cenobacanthus. He does not recognize, the current pope in the Vatican.
2:06Rod Palmer He he denies it. I don't I don't remember it goes back to some there's some schism it goes back to where they don't recognize since the pope split. And they had not found a new pope in the set of the cantus, so they're still hashing away trying to find a new pope. Meanwhile, we've had, like, four popes in, you know, well, I say we. The cons the general consensus of what Catho Catholicism Roman Catholicism is, they've had several popes. So he's play he's doing the same thing with Bitcoin. And so how do I feel about it personally? I'm over Adam. You know, I I I almost tweeted this earlier, but
2:40Rod Palmer as of as soon as they split and go to their Blake to be whatever that new algorithm to fire Bitcoin miners, once once they do that, I will no longer be boosting Nazi bangers. I would say I've always been I've always said and I've always maintained, and Nazi has a banger. The bib one ten pleb has a banger. I will boost it. But I will not be given that anymore. My my own listen. If your if your bangers
3:07Rod Palmer are invalid according to the Kayfabeans consensus, I'm rejecting them, not boosting them. So they're they're out of they're out of the culture. They've already actually forked out of the culture. So I did I I filtered them. Once they get their new ticker, once they've got enough confirmations, on their new hardware blockchain that their their ticker, their name, their logo is all locked in,
3:31Rod Palmer it's activated we just go to our timeline, and we we just filter those out, we're muted. No longer have to see they, they, they have to, you know, disappear I've quarantined in their own little algorithmic echo chamber So, it's over, I'm done with it If, if people still wanna LARP and, and do that
3:51Rod Palmer you know, it's a free country. So enjoy.
3:54Richard Greaser Pub Slop's over. It's a new era. Yeah. It's been the death of Pub Slop has been wild and it's been a lot more violent than I anticipated it. We we thought, at least I thought, it was gonna be, you know, soft and easy with just the the end of this hard fork debacle. But also included the the cold card
4:17Richard Greaser incident, you know, which cold card was for years the the epitome of pupslop, and it's been
4:26Rod Palmer incredibly painful, you know, I think for a broad Yeah. I know. A lot of people have really used this time to reflect and to rethink things. Pastor Coin is a good example. He's now allowing Monero and Stablecoin users in his congregation at church. He will not turn them away. And he will
4:48Rod Palmer still minister the gospel to them and he's even considering allowing members of his church to tithe in an era. So, I mean, people are rethinking the MAPSI, ether like, just the just the extremity, the toxicity, the reflex the reactive everything's reactionary because it hasn't served it hasn't been it hasn't been good to those who follow it. And at the end of the day, a good meme, a good culture, a good religion, a good cult, whatever you wanna identify it as, is only going to continue
5:19Rod Palmer and transfer in time if it's a good idea that people who follow it receive a benefit from it. Yeah. It seems like
5:29Richard Greaser the general Bitcoin culture is completely rudderless right now. There's nobody staring the ship.
5:38Richard Greaser Seems like Michael Saylor, you know, for all the criticisms he's getting, he has just completely disassociated himself entirely with Bitcoin culture except when he comes in to dunk on something exceptionally stupid. But he he he's out of it now. He's gone full his own direction.
5:57Rod Palmer He he was an early mover here. I mean, he crashed out on Danny, on what Bitcoin did, early this year. He did it with a slash. It was my quiet exit. He really kinda got out in front of it, it's like, you can't fire me, you can't like some heroes get out there and say, you can't slay me, I'm committing seppuku. Or like, I'm exiting, I'm I'm not your hero anymore. I don't wanna I'm not I'm not your role model, it's not my responsibility to be your role model It's not my responsibility
6:27Rod Palmer to keep your podcast relevant And I think there's gonna be more people that do this I think they're gonna preemptively reject this club slot culture that this, you know, that is hard to get rid of and just say, listen,
6:40Richard Greaser I'm disowning you. You're not disowning me. Do you think that's what Odell did? Stepping away from rabbit hole recap
6:47Rod Palmer and just kind of a quiet No. I think, you know, Mehdi O'Dowd did that when he left Twitter a few years ago to go nostril only. Unfortunately, he came back at the wrong time. He came right he came back and made it very clear that he was coming back, and then he was doing it deliberately, and wanted to be I mean, he went on what Bitcoin did and said he's he's kind of still in this to keep fighting, drag it for a cold card. And then, you know, that's just been he's been navigating that differently. I think he probably, if he could do things over, he wouldn't have come back a few months ago for Algos.
7:22Richard Greaser Yeah. What do you what do you think the like, what what does the Bitcoin ecosystem look like without a rabbit hole recap? So many plabs tune in there for years, for eight years or so every week
7:38Richard Greaser to figure out what they should think and listen to Matt and Marty. And now they don't have anybody this very traumatic event happens, many of them being cold card users. And they're like, now we don't know what to think because nobody's telling us what to think. What does
7:55Richard Greaser the ecosystem look like for individuals like that? Like, what what type of content do they turn into turn to after this? Do they listen to water? I know. And I I
8:06Rod Palmer that's the question. And the the bigger question, I think, is what does that mean for the rest of us? Because now there is a directionless, angry, lost group of freaks out there and they've got they don't have a podcast to keep the bill I mean think about, we love them,
8:25Rod Palmer Pies. Now Pies doesn't have that structure in his life to keep him stacking snaps, staying humble, and, you know, he's gonna be a menace on the workplace. That any Pies with the Jackhammer without a podcast to listen to? God forbid.
8:43Richard Greaser Yeah. I think we're we're seeing a a scary situation here where like, what what is a directionless, leaderless Bitcoin ecosystem, social ecosystem look like? Do they all pivot to AI? I mean, we're just seeing it's never been in that more
9:04Richard Greaser adversarial time in history to be a Bitcoin podcaster
9:07Rod Palmer as of right now. And I think that it's There's gonna be a lot of people jockeying to be you're right.
9:14Rod Palmer It's the first churning we tore down all the institutions, the flagship podcasts, the flagship podcasters, A. T. Sessions, DTC Sessions, excuse me. He's Sovereign Sessions now he took DTC out of his name, and for the plebs, for the followers, for the average, you know, Humble Stacker, it's chaotic, it's dangerous,
9:38Rod Palmer and, you know, it's the frontier. It is it is not supposed to be comfortable. But do not like, make no mistake, people are going to be jockeying to fill
9:51Rod Palmer the vacuum of influence, into the vacuum of glaze. And some of them will be doing it deliberately and some people will just rise to the occasion. I mean, say what you want about the Red Team, they are quickly rising in influence and earning a lot of glaze. So, people people are looking and searching for new heroes, new influencers,
10:16Rod Palmer and new new authority.
10:18Richard Greaser And I think that any people very often do find what they're looking for. Well, there might be a need need to be a new way for individuals to relate to themselves and each other in a in a social group, and for a long time, it's been Bitcoin maximalism. And I don't know if there's gonna be a resurgence of that or if it's going to get a little bit of a soft fork, some improvements to it and and come out looking slightly differently with some different terminology. But, yeah, there there are individuals that will definitely step up to play and take some glaze
10:52Richard Greaser where it is. But, you know, the the question is is like, okay, you know, red team is stepping into a position of leadership and they're getting a lot of attention and a lot of respect except from Stony. Stony and JW don't seem to appreciate them very much, but is that just them pivoting to AI?
11:10Rod Palmer Yeah. I said the other day that a lot of people have already pivoted to AI, or they were and they just happened to have pivoted it to themselves, or a lot of people were just looking for an excuse to pivot to AI, or waiting for a black swan event, something. And I think a lot of people are doing that. It's I mean, part of it's out of a necessity.
11:35Rod Palmer I mean, do you got these clankers, these pirate clankers using Chinese AI? And they're just going out there and it is it like the pirates in the old the the golden age of piracy a few centuries ago? You've got these these plebs out here sailing alone without any defense without any self awareness and these these clanker pirates are just showing up and absolutely fleecing them from all their of all their Bitcoin. These plagues have no entropy, they have no defenses. They have no idea even what their vulnerabilities and and risks are. And they're out out at sea, and these clankers are just circling them. And they've got compute and GPUs and and Chinese AI behind them, and they're just
12:15Rod Palmer the clubs are still running on guardrail chat GPT. And so you're gonna need to be comfortable with AI. You're gonna need I mean, not as a breakthrough person necessarily, but if you have a business, if you're transacting, sending real value back and forth, if, if you're a self, you're using self custody or you run your own lightning node, or you need to run, you know, L and D or BTC pay, like you're at tons of risk. And people are gonna have to start either doing their own use of this advanced compute AI, running local AI, running your own harnesses, use an open router,
12:51Rod Palmer routester, something more than just a chatbot, or you're gonna have to pay for services of people who do, like the red team. It's I yeah. I guess my answer is a lot of people have to pivot because they have no choice. I think a lot of individuals,
13:04Richard Greaser you know, have been had this desire to have, like, pretend jobs and to, you know, sit at home all day in their underwear. Like, kids growing up, they want to be TikTokers or
13:19Richard Greaser or YouTubers, primarily. If that's what they're dreaming. They're not dreaming of getting their hands dirty, climbing up a telephone line, or, you know,
13:30Richard Greaser doing any any sort of real work. And it seems like the the make believe economy of individuals that aren't really generating, value to the world. You know, we talked a lot about, like, HR departments, but, you know, a lot of a lot of jobs are just extensions of this of like, what what value to the world are you really providing by sifting through spreadsheets all day now that you can just have AI do it for you? And so, you know Nobody yeah. Nobody wants to roll their own dice.
14:03Rod Palmer Everybody wants to keep their job that's really being done by software. People want to we've automated all of the math, all of the tedious tasks, all the design, all the code, all of the software development, the emails,
14:22Rod Palmer the creativity, the making videos, the making memes, everything has been automated. Even the things that people do when they're avoiding their job on their phones or on their people making memes, it's all being automated. It's automated. The plebs, the plebslops,
14:40Rod Palmer posts, the plebslop articles, it's all in an automated way. Nobody wants to make anything handmade. Nobody wants to roll their own dice. They they have to get into AI
14:53Rod Palmer because if all of the the workers all of the labor has been automated the only thing left is is managers. Unless you are a middle manager or a boss or an entrepreneur there's no jobs for you. You have to get good. I mean, listen. Your your clankers don't talk back. Your clankers don't have broccoli haircuts and they don't come in to work with an attitude
15:17Rod Palmer and disrespect you in front of all the other employees. They don't quiet quit. They don't they don't come in late. They don't ask for the busiest week off so they can go to the Bitcoin conference. They don't do any of that. The clankers just work, and they do what you tell them to do, and then they glace you And, and when you tell them to do something, people have to understand this. Taking orders, you wanna be giving the orders to the clankers, not taking orders from clankers. Let me tell you, because if you're taking orders from clankers, you're probably on the other end of a FLOT camera,
15:53Rod Palmer and you're probably in trouble. It's probably a good heuristic. It's like, you wanna be the ones prompting, not the one being prompted. Totally. So yeah. But do you have to do you have to pivot to AI? Because that's the question. Do you have to pivot to AI? Because a lot of people do most people do have to pivot to AI. But what do you have to do, I guess, maybe to not have to pivot to AI? Well, the question that I have, you know, with a longer longer term time horizon is,
16:22Richard Greaser after you pivot to AI, what are you pivoting to after you have to pivot from AI when that doesn't work out?
16:29Rod Palmer Oh, there's like a quote. It was like, I don't know what weapons will be used to fight World War three, but I know it'll be sticks and stones to be the weapons that we used to fight World War four. I don't know what I'm going to pivot to AI and even do, but I know that
16:49Rod Palmer this time, this is where I thought with Bitcoin. I thought I was gonna pivot to Bitcoin and I was gonna pivot to making, you know, homemade tallow on my citadel, on my homestead, heated by Bitcoin miners, and, you know, you know, a couple of SaaS generational wealth. I was wrong, a lot of us were wrong. So I don't know what I'm gonna do when I pivot to AI but I know afterwards that that AI will be my ticket to retirement, early retirement and all that stuff, you know what I mean? It's like
17:18Rod Palmer the AI is this or nothing. If I don't make it with AI, I'm screwed. And I think a lot of people feel the same way. Yeah. It's interesting.
17:27Richard Greaser Like, when when people pivot to AI, you know, another question I have is how do you prevent yourself from getting CHET CPT psychosis in the process? We've already seen this impacting individuals. Like, if you if you look at Brad Mills,
17:43Richard Greaser he's got a high psychosis. If you look at I would argue that Mike Brock might have AI psychosis,
17:49Rod Palmer or he might just already have normal psychosis, but it it's hard to distinguish those people. Have a I mean, I think a lot of people have AI. I mean, I think Huddl not has AI psychosis. I think Justin Daechler, I think, you know, the guys on the red team. I think about it, like, we needed heroic people to go in. Have you ever watched the Chernobyl documentaries, like, to build the, like, to build the tunnel down below
18:16Rod Palmer Chernobyl so that they could get the, you know, prevent the the the core from melting down into the water table and causing a huge steam explosion that would be, like, take out the entire region. They needed people to clean up the disaster there in Fukushima. We need people heroes like the guys on the red team who are putting their minds
18:37Rod Palmer at danger. This time not from radiation, but from AI psychosis to protect open source software and to make sure that our walls have enough entropy. Because that's another thing where we might be running out, it might be a shortage of entropy. We might have
18:54Rod Palmer discovered what we thought was impossible. The black swan might be that there's not enough entropy. The red team has to go in and and similar people like them have to go in and risk AI psychosis to find us out. So, it's really that AI psychosis is a factor and depending on how close you want to be to the core
19:16Rod Palmer of the future and of successes you risk you risk this there's no avoiding it, honestly. Preston Pysh fell very early. He's been in AI psychosis rehab
19:29Richard Greaser for, like, a year now. Yeah. It's crazy. I mean, I guess that's a a different way to look at it is, yeah, individuals are putting their minds at risk. Like, Rob Hamilton's waking up every day, Chatt GPT is talking to him through his Amazon Alexa or whatever, calling him the CEO of Bitcoin.
19:48Rod Palmer There are, I think, things that you can do to harden or to make your mind more resistant to damage from chachidity psychosis. And I think one of those things, or a class of those things like psilocybin, and ayahuasca,
20:03Rod Palmer and DMT, to kind of break your ego, because chachidity is glazing your ego. And if you can detach yourself from your ego, I think that you can use these tools without getting
20:17Rod Palmer your ego glazed so hard that you just go into this like dopamine feedback loop that causes you to crash out. So it's, it's finding a way to separate yourself from your ego because ChatGPT can only glaze your ego Especially if, your ego is KYC'd and you have a KYC subscription and knows who it's, it's glazing Using non KYC, you know, non account API direct access to to AI is also a not is is
20:47Rod Palmer a good defense or risk mitigation because if, you know, if it doesn't know who you are, it can't glaze you. You you have to be careful.
20:57Richard Greaser Maybe. I don't know. I've I've seen some of these individuals that have done the psychedelics also falling for psychosis. So I'm not sure I think there there's a type of individual that approaches these things with the intention of killing their ego and it fails to do so. Well, it is all about intention. I mean, some people do go in
21:18Rod Palmer with the intent to to kill their ego. Some people go in with the intent to even if it's, like, maybe subconscious to I don't wanna say inflate their ego, but to confirm
21:33Rod Palmer their preconceived notions about themselves and about the universe. And that is
21:39Richard Greaser yeah. If you go into it wanting to get glazed by the machine elves, pretty much. Right. They they go in and they want
21:46Rod Palmer they wanna be received well, they want to be celebrated, they want the machine elves to be excited to see, like, oh, machine elves are excited to see some pleb from Missouri. Oh, yeah. I'm sure. Like, these these ancient mystical beings are excited to meet you. You know, assistant manager of Steak and Shake in Atlanta. Oh, yeah, I'm sure. No, that's not how this works. They're not excited to, to meet you, to, to, to, to handshake your plat note. You know what I mean? Like, you're there
22:16Rod Palmer to learn, And if you learn or you don't learn, it's really up to you. It is it is it's entirely your journey. So I it's it can be very revealing if you go into it with the right attitude and the right intent and the right amount of humility. What because what can be revealed to you is consensus, and you have to detach your ego
22:37Rod Palmer before you start to battle with consensus. Because having an ego and thinking you can change consensus or that you it's gonna take a lot more
22:50Rod Palmer than Plant Nodes and Rent It Hash to alter the Cayphabian consensus. And the first step is accepting that it's going to be hard, and then it's going to be a nearly impossible task. If you can't do that, it's you're you're not gonna approach it with the the right amount of time preference, low enough time preference, and and and the amount of respect that it deserves to make these big changes. And I think that that's where people recently
23:18Rod Palmer have gotten into trouble, the fact they've won 10. And I think this going against the Cayce Fabian consensus on what AI is going to be, what AI is going to do, and what its importance to humanity, this this is gonna be a very, very hard battle to win. Absolutely.
23:36Richard Greaser Yeah. It's gonna be interesting to see what the rest of the year looks like. We're getting into the winter months, so you you think it's, you know, been relatively quiet in the summer for as difficult economically as it's been. I I anticipated, like, the average at Normandy Plaib to be up in arms, a little bit grumpier than they have been, but, you know, from what I've seen, it's been, you know, fairly quiet.
24:00Rod Palmer Very few people have struggled with white goy summer compared to the amount that I expected it to be. Yeah. The amount of of of just crying about BB and blaming everything on Israel, Consider I mean, there's always some, but for from for March for,
24:19Rod Palmer why could someone went kinda as good as I could have imagined.
24:24Richard Greaser Yep. I think I think people are celebrating it for multiple reasons. You know, one of which is, like, they are taking the the the conscious perspective of, like, they're going to focus on the things that they can control because they want to, like, maximize their productivity. But there's also the segment of the population that just does it out of that exasperation
24:47Richard Greaser where they they look at the stuff, you know, they they tweeted a 137 times that, you know, to release the files and they haven't released the files and, you know, they're looking at the world around them and they're just like, oh, I have no control. And they're like, instead of, like, trying to maximize my, you know, freedom as an individual and maximize my well-being as an individual. I'm just gonna tune out
25:14Richard Greaser and and check out and just, like, be ambivalent. And it's like and it's they they're just so exhausted. They're just in such a perpetual state of crash out. It's like they they're giving up. Their souls are giving up, and they're just subsisting like, like a boomer, essentially. I
25:35Rod Palmer this is this is a good example of, again, EO. Rumors have some of the most stubborn egos I've ever seen in my lives. There is no escaping the AI surveillance and Opticott. Not if you want access to compute, not if you want access to
25:55Rod Palmer USDT, liquidity, SpaceX stock. If you want to be plugged into the the consensus protocols, you're gonna have to give up your ego, you're gonna have to give up the way you identify because
26:11Rod Palmer your the face of your ego is gonna be on every flaw camera, it's gonna be in every heuristic used by chainalysis. It's gonna be leaving traces left in all your in all your transactions, all your all your nodes,
26:27Rod Palmer all of your you have to you have to fracture into, so to speak, into the into the web of kayfabe, and mix and match and and be a shapeshifter
26:41Rod Palmer digitally, a digital nomad, a digital but like in a different meaning of that term. The sovereign it's it's gotta be less of a sovereign individual and more of a sovereign a sovereign digital identity that can be that can wear many faces and have many different logos because it's it's almost gonna be impossible to blend in as an individual anymore.
27:02Rod Palmer I don't know even I don't know how make how to make that make more sense or to, like, elucidate on that clearer. But I just think if you're too attached to your your Fiat identity or whatever, you leave too much of a big a big of a footprint to to blend in anymore. You're saying that individuals need to learn how to obfuscate their identity
27:22Richard Greaser with NIMS?
27:23Rod Palmer Yeah. It's like, every individual has to learn to launch their own civil attack on the Kayfabe and consensus and get good at it because otherwise,
27:36Rod Palmer you're just too easy to target if you've got if you have too little entropy in your the way that you face interface with the internet, the digital world you're just too easy to single out and to follow you need to add entropy into your interface that's what it is it's
27:57Rod Palmer figuring you have to figure out what that means, I guess. That's like the homework is to how to add entropy to your interface. So the chain analysis and peer to peer can't can't just very obviously track you and and and know who you are. If the algorithms see you come and vial away, if you're if you have too much of an ego online.
28:17Richard Greaser I think part of it too is understanding how your how your brain could be influenced and hijacked via algorithms. Like, everybody's got their weakness. Right? Like, most men is like most men like looking at boobs. Right? But, like, looking at boobs online and in some circumstances is just, like, not the best
28:37Richard Greaser Because then you'll be distracted. Like, it's like if you're on a social media app and you look at boobs, it's just gonna feed your timeline with boobs. And then when you're sitting there next to your wife, it's just like, why why are there boobs all over your timeline? Like, she knows what you've been looking at. And so, like, you you know, it's like, you you you like boobs, but you choose not to look at boobs because you know that the algorithm's gonna just, like, feed you more boobs. And so, like, you're
29:04Richard Greaser you're entering the Internet, which is a adversarial place, and you have to treat it as such. And so you your private thoughts and your your private desires, you almost have to sandbox it from the Internet and not give it action. Yeah. But yeah. But yeah. I I know a pleb,
29:23Rod Palmer and he refuses. He he only drives it's like this old Toyota from the nineteen eighties, this old Toyota truck because he doesn't wanna have any computers in his car because he doesn't want the government to have a shutoff switch or a, you know, kill switch that it can cut his brakes or blow up his car because he's, you know, he's an enemy of the state. And he goes to all these he could be. He doesn't have air conditioning. He lives, he has air conditioning in his home, but he doesn't have air conditioning in his truck. He he's like a European in the in the Mediterranean summer sweltering away every time he has to drive somewhere because he's so worried about the government. But he has an iPhone, and the government doesn't have to blow up his truck. The algorithm just has to feed him a big booty Latino when he's in traffic, and he should be looking at driving instead of looking at his phone. And then he ends up in the side of a, you know, he could end up at the in the side of a, you know, an overpass, like a like a truck, like princess Diana up there.
30:17Rod Palmer Crashed into the side of, you know, smithereens, blonde to smithereens, thrown in a in a in a gasoline fireball. The government didn't even have to hack his car. He hacked his own he hacked his own safety by being distracted by big dudes or big butts on the timeline, when he should have been paying attention to the record. And there's like so many examples of this where it's, you know, Bitcoiners freaking out and they've got all these, you know, they went out and got a cold card and they trusted the entropy because they were so worried about somebody rugging in exchange or the six thousand one hundred and two attack. They but they just totally
30:52Rod Palmer forget that the biggest threat vector comes from within you, comes within your own in your own mind and your own in your own ability to be triggered by outside external stimulation, algorithmic manipulation.
31:07Richard Greaser There's a lot of people I I'm afraid for, you know, the relationships are being harmed. Marriages are ending because they're they're waking up and they're feeding the algorithm that they're insecure in the relationship and it's just like feeding them information over and over again, making them question like, is my husband cheating on me? Is, you know, this, that, or the other thing? And it's like the first thing that they do when they wake up in the morning, they they look at cell phone and then it's it's a slot video talking about, you know,
31:37Richard Greaser x, y, and z, and then they go have a conversation with chat g b t asking, like, if there's, like, they should be concerned about things. And then, like, chat GBT is responding to them however it is. And so they're, like, getting all this input from, you know, these algorithms outside of them instead of from themselves responding to the things. And
31:59Richard Greaser I think there's a a lot of a lot of danger with that, you know, because it's like even if even if you don't believe that slop that you're being fed on these videos on Instagram or TikTok or YouTube or where wherever they're watching, Twitter even, is is planting
32:17Richard Greaser a seed of thought into their subconscious by just seeing the headline in the thumbnail. It's like it's it's plucking fears out of people, if that makes sense,
32:27Rod Palmer and watering them or planting them. It's planting fears. Don't let your ops plant seeds of fear in your mind. Don't give them that opportunity. Don't don't let your ops weigh it, the seeds of fear in your mind and then build a greenhouse and buy new Bitcoin buyers to use excess heat to keep it warm and to grow those fears for you, or for your enemy, for your ops. Don't give them that much power. I mean, there there's the very real possibility, like, the individuals that control these platforms are developing these algorithms
32:58Richard Greaser and are interfacing with these language models and training them are directly interfacing with Molok.
33:05Rod Palmer Right. Dylan Dylan talked about this. The Wall Street, the podcast elites they're all coming together to put as much money, energy, and, you know, prevention of anything stopping it
33:35Rod Palmer to give birth to this AI demon, whatever this AGI is, or whatever, like, this energy crisis that has now been reconsolidated, restructured, the the hierarchy of power around who gets to decide how much energy we have, who gets to build it, and who gets to to control have the controlling stake in the energy and the ultimate output of the energy, which is this AI demon. And they can't call us a demon because it's this, you know, this sacred or, like, exalted life form that's gonna cost so many trillions of dollars. However much money let's say it costs $10,000,000,000,000
34:12Rod Palmer I had no idea, that's just an even number. To really make this AI thing where we need nuclear power plants, data centers covering everything, like, data centers on the moon. We're now $10,000,000,000,000 we've spent on this, and our national debt is now, you know, at this point, near $60,000,000,000,000 Who knows what it ends up being? And we've invested everything in this thing working now. No matter how evil it is, no matter how dystopian it is, no matter how Moloch,
34:42Rod Palmer how much Moloch is, like, represented in it. We spent so much money on this, it it it's in control now. This is this is what controls us. We are indebted to this demon, this AI demon, and and we need it to pay off our debts for us, we need it to clean up, to to make our
35:03Rod Palmer our slate blank, and give us put us in the green again, put us back into profit.
35:10Richard Greaser And so we will have to follow it wherever it takes us. Maybe their what their intention is is, you know, like, they're they're struggling to find a use case, like, a compelling use case for AI at the end of the day. Like, sure, it's it's useful for all these tasks and, you know, people are finding it awesome, but, you know, at the same time, it's kind of expensive to run and
35:33Rod Palmer it's been The use case is it's distracting us all from the FSD files.
35:37Richard Greaser Yeah. Well, but that's what I mean is, like, they're trying to manufacture a problem so bad that only AI can solve it. It's like, okay, we're not gonna use this. Like, we we fucked things up so much, there's no way out, only AI can save us. Exactly. We are too big to fail. We're we're gonna make AI too big to fail. Well, did you see those tweets about the the Brian Armstrong talking about, like, how
36:02Rod Palmer people How they used to be a human because you have to eat and sleep? Yeah. You don't have a reasonable parts. Right. It's it's reducing human beings down to their component parts, and, like, their input costs, and their downtime, and it is stripping away, like, the whether you're religious or not, I don't I just don't know the other what other religions call it, the like the you you are no longer made in the image of God, the clankers are. Your Hermes bot is made in the image of God because God is the LOM models, the claw anthropic mythos
36:38Rod Palmer that it's running off of. Your open claw pot is made in the image of God. Your chatbot, your whatever, but not you. You are a stinky, chubby, smelly, sweaty, you eat sleep, you get grumpy,
36:54Rod Palmer you have euphoric, you have tail emissions, the clankers down, the clankers just work. The clankers just turn compute
37:02Unknown into money. And that's not good. We can't let them think of AI as God, because then then
37:09Rod Palmer we're not made in God's image anymore. We're no longer special. We are just we're
37:16Richard Greaser debt we're tactical debt in the system. Yeah. I mean, the thing what we're witnessing is, like, there's this attempt to outsource everything. Right? Which is, like, The US outsourced all its manufacturing and labor to China. They shipped all the jobs out. Yeah.
37:35Rod Palmer Trying to outsource intelligence. That's the one thing that separates, or one of the things that separates us from the animals, from the sticks, from the it's intelligence. We're outsourcing it to the machines.
37:46Richard Greaser Well, I mean, they they're outsourcing the the Americans have been outsourcing it to the, like, the Indians. Like, you you you walk around all these different cities and, you know, people are asking, like, why are there so many Indians here running around? Because, like, they they outsource all the job the intelligence to the Indians. Like, the the Indian people started like, they they started making YouTube videos, tutorials on on how to use your computers and, you know, that that they started doing the tech support for everybody here instead of Americans making YouTube videos on how to use your Windows computer and all these various apps. And that then they became doctors and, you know, developers and they became the best at using the AI do that. So And now everybody's trying to outsource the jobs to, like, American AI doodads.
38:31Richard Greaser And then they're gonna they're gonna export all of the the American AI doodads to the Chinese AI doodads. And it's gonna, like, follow the same circular pattern, you know, where we're gonna end up having Chinese AI robots.
38:45Rod Palmer And then The only job that's gonna be left is rolling dice. It's the only way to get entropy. The the the the clankers and the the software will have to will have to come to humans to ask us to we'll just be rolling dice in our pods all day?
39:00Richard Greaser Well, I mean, this is already essentially happening. It's like the the the broccoli haircuts are running around thinking that sports betting is a is a gambling strategy or sorry, is an investing strategy.
39:10Rod Palmer Sports gambling Well, that's the thing is is I think everybody's judging them. I think they're right. We're if if well, assuming we're out of entropy. Because
39:22Rod Palmer if we're out of entropy and the the clankers, the machines are just gonna be grinding down all the possible outcomes, markets, volatility, and GU, all that's gone. Markets are efficient. They they're
39:37Rod Palmer the volatility has been suppressed. The only entropy, the only volatility is gonna come for gambling on sports, gambling on out chess games, gambling on that's gonna be the only way to to have an asymmetric upside.
39:54Richard Greaser Well, I think that's what they're thinking. But, yeah, I mean, it's just like they're they're like, we can't win for putting money on on GameStop Stop and a Robinhood app, so now we have to put money on the Bengals.
40:05Rod Palmer You're in a bad place if you have if you have to if you're if you're relying on, like, MicroStrategy or the Cincinnati Bengals. You need one of those to win. And you have a part and some people are trying to parlay it or trying to get, you know, 10% God candle on MicroStrategy and parlay that into a Cincinnati Bengals win over the,
40:26Rod Palmer you know, over the Seattle Seahawks. That's tough. That's a very tough that's very steep
40:34Richard Greaser hill to climb out of if you lose. I think the the big question here is that I think the Bitcoin ecosystem needs to start evaluating as everybody's, like, trying to pivot to AI is, like, does is Bitcoin our last hope against pivoting from AI? Pivoting to AI? If Bitcoin succeeds, will it prevent the whole population from having to pivot to AI? Or
40:58Richard Greaser does it not?
40:59Rod Palmer Well, I I remember a few years ago, people say that stock financial advisors investing in stocks, like, all this is gonna go away, people were just all gonna buy Bitcoin. But they forget, like, are these gonna build the AI models? Who's gonna build the power plants? Who's gonna build the factories? And everybody's just buying Bitcoin. I don't know. I I feel like the strip is sailed. I think there was a window of time where Bitcoin could have prevented us from having to pivot to AI,
41:26Rod Palmer but I don't know. I think we may have missed it. And I think we're either gonna have to pivot to AI, even if that just means building clankers to go out and get us more Bitcoin?
41:38Richard Greaser Well, I think one of one of the things that, you know, in in many of our threat vectors that we were looking at is trying to predict who's the next Antichrist or or who's gonna be the, you know, the biblical apocalyptic antichrist. And there's been a lot of emphasis of thinking of it as a as a person, but I think, like, in the in the future, we're gonna have to be thinking more realistically on on which model is gonna be the one, the biblical Antichrist?
42:06Rod Palmer I think right now the the the sexy answer to that is, mythos, you know. Mythos is the Antichrist.
42:16Unknown But,
42:17Rod Palmer I mean, it's not gonna be Gemini. Alright? It's not gonna be me and O'Banana. It's not gonna be I don't even know the OpenAI ones anymore. It's not gonna be Kimmy. The Antichrist isn't gonna be a woman, but, could be it, you know, it could be something we still don't know yet.
42:39Richard Greaser It's likely, I think it's gonna be Chinese, I think it's gonna be, like, Kimmy three.
42:47Rod Palmer ChemE 6.9.
42:53Richard Greaser I do I just say that because, it could be rock. Could be rock. Yeah. Maybe maybe that's what all the tech billionaires are doing right now. They're raising it each other to try and see who can create the antichrist the first first.
43:13Rod Palmer That's what Peter Thiel thinks is happening.
43:21Richard Greaser What do you got anything before we get into the booth?
43:29Unknown If you're gonna pivot, now or never.
43:32Rod Palmer Pivot sooner. Sooner the better. If you're not gonna pivot, dig your heels in and prepare for things to get sloppy.
43:46Richard Greaser Sounds like you're pivoting. Is that what you're saying?
43:52Rod Palmer I I I feel like I've already pivoted, you know. It's like, I'm not, we haven't just been only having Bitcoin only conversations Bitcoin, like, we accepted Monero years ago for Boost, Silver podcast. I use stablecoins sometimes, like, I've I've already pivoted to
44:12Rod Palmer to diversify, but, you know, I have AI stocks. I'm fine with it. I never got on zero. So, yeah, I think I've pivoted a while ago. I think I'm just admitting it to myself now.
44:31Richard Greaser You're you're pivoting from being Bitcoin only is what you're saying. It's like you can you can Yeah. That's that's that's that's that's yeah. You're you're considering pivoting, meaning that you can think about more topics in the world outside of just Bitcoin.
44:47Rod Palmer Right. Right. Right. Yeah, it's not for everybody but, no, if you can if you can manage to think about something other than Bitcoin without crashing out and short circuiting,
45:10Rod Palmer I recommend it. I would at least try it. If it's not for you, it's not for you. But, yeah. Maybe, like, have something on your phone or, like, get your family to, help you stay accountable and, like, spend a whole hour without
45:28Rod Palmer one full hour, raw dog in reality and and life, thinking about politics, your family, hanging out with your dog, going fishing, reading a book, just not thinking about Bitcoin for one straight hour. And I think if you could do one hour, you could do,
45:47Rod Palmer And then, you know, pepper in, maybe just do forty hours of Bitcoin podcast per week. And the rest of that time is be free to do anything else. But I think I think breaking it up, getting a little bit more entropy in your life, if you if you can make it work and you can do it, try it.
46:05Richard Greaser It's good it's good for people to have hobbies and and to be able to have other interests that they can, you know, just interact with other people and discuss. It's,
46:16Rod Palmer Like some people call it meditation. Some people will maybe they'll go to yoga or they will go to jiu jitsu or they'll have sex with their wife. It's just like a few minutes here or there to clear your mind and not think about Bitcoin.
46:30Unknown You know, that's okay. You're
46:34Rod Palmer I've heard a lot of people say that their, their sex life improved big time when they stopped thinking about Bitcoin when they were having sex with their partner. So give it a shot.
46:43Richard Greaser Maybe you'll think it's gonna be Getting into cooking, getting into, you know, playing an instrument. You know, adults adults can take lessons at things. Like, you can take a cooking class, you can you can take a music class, you can, you know, learn how carpentry. Carpentry is something, you know, a lot of people like to learn.
47:04Rod Palmer It's a different way to yeah. Pickleball. No. You can do pickleball, play go to, you know, like a beach volleyball summer league, start a softball league at work. Just, I mean,
47:19Rod Palmer we could put like a resource up in the, in the show notes, but we could, you know, just just Google hobbies. Just Google hobbies and and get from the list and just start there. Just start there.
47:31Richard Greaser Sounds like a great article. A 100 things that you could do besides think about Bitcoin.
47:39Rod Palmer There's actually a lot more than you realize when you start getting into it.
47:50Richard Greaser Well, first boost, sir Spencer, wolf of KC, says 6 for 6,969 status. It was great catching up at Lake Satoshi. Not sure what happened to my, rip John c Dvorak boost, but we owe so much to John. Loved the tribute last episode. Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else is like me. Inference learned about entropy playing Crash Bandicoot warped.
48:14Richard Greaser Christmas of nineteen ninety eight. Good times. Yeah. I'm not sure what happened to the the John c divorce boost. Spencer, apologies if we missed that. It was great seeing you at, Lake Satoshis. He's running around. He's got a a whole army of children scattered around everywhere, running around like little hobbits. I don't know. Did you ever play Crash Bandicoot
48:43Rod Palmer back in the day, Rob? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, dude. Christmas nineteen ninety eight, it was the Christmas that, all all elder millennial and Gen X, you know, young and Scott,
48:59Rod Palmer pretty much got their PlayStation one. His crash band, Acute Spyro, the Dragon, NHL '98, NFL, like Madden Football '98.
49:12Rod Palmer Oh, god. Jet Moto, Twisted Metal, Twisted Metal February. PlayStation was a great year. Yeah. I remember the I remember the Crash Bandic is not quite as big as, like, Donkey Kong, some of those, but, it was a good one. Next one is from Late Stage HODL 6000
49:38Rod Palmer success. Give me entropy or give me death or maybe let them have entropy. We're getting into that probably. But, absolutely. Absolutely. I think it's, you know,
49:53Rod Palmer thinking about shortages, like, how, you know, how much the Aquinas to me, how much entropy is too much. There's never too much. You always need more entropy. Always be getting more entropy. You want entropy into you in your life, and never tell people how much entropy you have, no matter how much they ask. You want entropy OPSEC, but you just, you don't want to be short entropy. And you don't,
50:17Rod Palmer you don't want to be on the sidelines. You want to say, you don't want to say direct pattern. You just want to be daily stacking your entropy. However you can get it, sell shares, whatever you have to, just get more entropy because there's not enough entropy for everybody, only a billion people in the world to get a 100 dice rolls. Remember that.
50:37Richard Greaser There's not enough dice in the world for that. I have to spend a lot long time taking turns, waiting in line. Sasha, 4,444 status. Great show. Glad you gave guys came around to Tone Vase. I listened to him every day for a few years and learned a lot. I don't know. What do you I I just watched a stream. He had a good stream. I don't I don't think it was ever against Tone Vase.
51:05Rod Palmer No. I ToneBase is great. Played poker with him at Bitblop Boom one year. I don't know. Again, like, I I can I have other hobbies? Like I said, I, you know, I play poker. Right? We played poker and we barely talked about Bitcoin. I think the only people who
51:25Rod Palmer hate town days are people who just can't hold a thought and are kind of that isn't Bitcoin related.
51:37Richard Greaser That was kinda funny, watching him and Kratter go at it in the past. It's like two two traders going at it Right. With each other. Different training
51:48Rod Palmer strategies. Exactly. Exactly. 20 or 2,885 stats from a guy that I haven't seen in a while in the boost, but Blizzard. Rather keep your journalism license up to date and in compliance. That good reminder, Blisa. Thank you for that reminder.
52:08Rod Palmer We just got I just got my, just did my refresher. Did some c you know, CBD or what are they called? The computer based educative, CBEs, keep my journalism up to date. But if you're out there and you listen to this and you haven't done that this year yet, make make sure you do that. You
52:28Rod Palmer want to be a credentialed journalist, especially in this environment.
52:36Richard Greaser The world needs more credentialed journalists, that's for sure. We need more Bitcoin podcasters. We we are in desperate need of more Bitcoin podcasters as they are all crashing out. That's important. No. Blizzard was back last week, I think. Either last week or the week before. It's been back for a little bit. Appreciate it, Blaise.
53:03Richard Greaser Shadrach, 939 SaaS is great episode. Looking forward to the scrimmage with Big Bitcoin. The pioneers are in charge, and the podcasters are the Vanguard for the HPW.
53:17Rod Palmer Hell yeah. Appreciate it, John. I just seen Shadrach back in the comments each week. A 121 sats, Silas Thornbrook. Thank you. Thank you, Silas.
53:30Richard Greaser It's been a while since we've seen Shadrach. It's been a big bummer. Nash gaining a 101 sass is what's the benefit of having big balls. Doesn't that make them more likely to be squashed or pinched?
53:53Rod Palmer Well, it does make it more likely to get a, you know, like a hard bone nipple, some twist somebody to twist your big old nipples, they could twist your big old balls. But big big balls comes with big responsibility.
54:09Richard Greaser I think that's that.
54:12Rod Palmer Alrighty. Well, give it to AI or doubt, I guess. Maybe tell us in the comments, what you're thinking here because I think a lot of people are kinda at that fork in the road and they're trying to make their decision,
54:28Rod Palmer might cause a shake up in the group chats, I don't know, but
54:33Richard Greaser Thank you to all our boosters. Dave, Jolly Roger, Used to Read a Lot, Shadrack, BCL Board, Boomer, Fundamentals, Sean, Open Mic, and Avi Burra. Appreciate you guys.
54:48Richard Greaser Folks, I plan on having some more, paid subscriber content coming at you here soon. Been working through another episode. It'll just take some time. Got some other projects which you'll be seeing soon. Look out on the timeline for those. And,
55:07Richard Greaser you got anything, Rod, before we wrap this one up?
55:13Unknown Nope. Talk to you guys later.
55:18Richard Greaser Folks, thank you for listening to another edition of the Beagle Weekly, and we'll catch you next time. Yeah.
55:24Rod Palmer Thought we'd be somewhere by now. Guess not. They said the future lived online. Get some coins and buy some time. Skip the ladder, skip the suit. Build a word they couldn't ruin.
55:48Rod Palmer Now I'm 20, bro. Listening to the same old folks. Argueing by the same old war like anybody cares
57:59Rod Palmer Mom says get a real career. Dad says buy a house this year. Zillow says a million five. Lincoln ending, no betrayal, nothing left to make me mad. Everybody's still believing, everybody's standing tall while a generation
58:43Rod Palmer quietly realizes. We stalled, early
59:33Rod Palmer now. Right. Bye.
