PODCONF extended the Big Bitcoin® initiative from narrative management into namespace governance by backing an effort to secure the proposed .bitcoin top-level domain. The stated object was to prevent an auction to the highest bidder by placing the namespace under a committee that assures everyone it represents the community.

The committee would evaluate applicants by infrastructure operation, code contributions, business activity, educational publishing, conference organization, maximalist enthusiasm and standing with whichever committee currently defines Bitcoin. Projects displaying independent thought or insufficient enthusiasm could be redirected to other namespaces.

The announcement compressed PODCONF’s compliance doctrine into a governance chain: freedom requires standards, standards require enforcement, enforcement requires leadership, and leadership requires compliance. It described the destination as professionally managed, institutionally approved Bitcoin and “the future of decentralized central planning.”
