+> *Henry's note: rebuilt from the beat index — a SAMPLED 120 of 232 beats across 100 episodes, coverage NOT complete. He is the single most-referenced non-host in the corpus, so this documents the shape of the bit rather than every instance. The old body was a one-story stub built off a single news item.*
    +
+The Bugleverse's **most worshipped man**: a Bitcoin policy lobbyist — head of the
+[[storylines/dennis-porter-saga|Satoshi Action Fund]] — whom the show treats not as
+a subject but as a deity, an epoch marker, and a controlled substance. He is the
+credited reason anyone can own, spend, or podcast about Bitcoin at all; the show's
+inaugural tribute holds that "if it wasn't for him, none of this would be
+possible."[^tribute] He is a "credential journalist,"[^credential] master of "the
+four influencing arts,"[^fourarts] and, per the standing litmus test for an enemy
+of number-go-up, one of the three "greatest agents of number go up" — the men you
+can identify a villain by, because a villain attacks them.[^ngu]
    +
+Almost none of the reverence is his own doing. Dennis Porter is a running bit that
+the hosts perform *at* him — [[characters/rod-palmer|Rod Palmer]] and
+[[characters/richard-greaser|Richard Greaser]] cast as unreciprocated hangers-on
+of a man too busy to text back — and the joke is the intensity of a devotion its
+object never asked for and rarely returns.

    +
+## The cult of Dennis Porter
    +
+From the first weeks the show installs him above the human scale. He is barred from
+its influencer triathlon on the grounds that "he's kinda like the Chuck Norris of
+Bitcoin. So it it's unfair for him to compete" — the invincibility is the point, not
+fairness to Dennis.[^chucknorris] The Bugle formalizes this by launching a **Dennis
+Porter Facts page**, canonized on air as a Bugle publication;[^factspage] the bit's
+stated genealogy is explicit — they are "Chuck Norris style jokes,"[^factsgenealogy]
    +transposed onto a Bitcoin lobbyist.
    +
+The deification climbs from there. [[characters/rod-palmer|Rod]] rates him "the alpha
+of orange pilling," better at it than Andreas Antonopoulos;[^alpha] the
    +[[storylines/orange-pilling-the-powerful|orange-pilling]] arc treats his conversion
+count as a body count that some bodies weigh more heavily into.[^bodycount] By early
+2025 Greaser has him at "a superhuman. He's like a demigod," a figure who
+single-handedly out-performs Ripple's entire war chest, with Rod capping it as "the
+second coming of Bitcoin Jesus" now that the first — [[characters/roger-ver|Roger
+Ver]] — is bound for prison.[^demigod] He is also the ecosystem's "alpha apex predator
+of first responders. He's the pre responder," a man who does not react to news but
    +pre-empts it by weeks.[^preresponder]
    +
+Most durably, he becomes an **epoch marker**. Asked by [[characters/junseth|Junseth]]
+what Bitcoin was like "pre Dennis Porter," the answer is "mostly drug dealers and
+hookers"[^prep] — the same "before Dennis Porter" frame that lets Rod fix him as a
+unit of lowered time preference: before him you waited a year for a good meme, after
+him "you can get a good meme multiple times a day, and you can have sex with your wife
    +multiple times a day."[^timepref]
    +
+## The lobbyist and the announcement economy
    +
+Under the worship sits a real trade: lobbying statehouses for strategic Bitcoin
+reserves and self-custody law. His fundraising ask is read as a monetary theory of
+government capture — "according to Dennis, it takes 10 Bitcoin to absolutely change
+the government for better. In twenty years, it might only take 1 or 2 Bitcoin," so
+deflation makes buying the state cheaper every cycle.[^tenbtc] His method is described
+in full off the Oklahoma mining bill: pepper the statute books with "nonbinding,
+meaningless policies" until judges ratify them — "you've civil attacked legal
    +code."[^civilattack] A friend-of-a-friend rumor has him faxing Strike's compliance
    +desk a heads-up before each newly orange-pilled senator begins KYC.[^fax] His
+statehouse connections are treated as a purchasable vending machine: Greaser prices
+the abolition of daylight savings at "a $50,000" donation to the Satoshi Action
    +Fund.[^daylight]
    +
+His signature output, though, is not policy but the **announcement of an
+announcement** — the pre-emptive teaser of news that "might not be that big of a
+deal."[^announce] The bit gets a full "Twas the Night Before Christmas" parody in which
+the anticipated gift is "the announcement before the announcement,"[^twas] and it is
+canonized nationally when Greaser reports Trump issuing an executive order "naming,
+September 23 announcement day in honor of Dennis Porter" — a claim guest David Bennett
    +rates "Complete and utter bullshit."[^announcementday]
    +
+Because he is the announcement, he is also the market. When Bitcoin first touches
+$100k, "Dennis Porter. He tweeted immediately, you're welcome. He did it";[^100k] a
+later cross of $105k is attributed not to the strategic reserve but to Porter "ending
+his announcement hiatus."[^105k] The energy-FUD inverts the same way: relatives who
+once blamed the grid on Bitcoin podcasting come to accept, via "Dennis Porter's
    +tweets," that the podcasters are load-balancing it.[^grid]
    +
    +## Politician, president, cabinet
    +
+The lobbying arc is always pointed at a candidacy. He opens a testimonial reel with
+"My name is Dennis Porter, and you should write me in for president this
    +November,"[^writein] and by [[storylines/the-2024-selection|the 2024 selection]] the
+bit has hardened into prophecy: the Selection Special ad calls the vote "the most
+important selection in the history of the world. That is until Dennis Porter runs in
+2028."[^selection2028] Greaser reads his ambition as canon — banned from the
+conference, on everyone's podcast but the Bugle's, "on his checklist is to become a US
+senator and then after that to become the president."[^checklist] The show even
+invents constitutional lore to date it, a clause forbidding a presidential run "until
+you've actually visited the Wailing Wall."[^wailingwall]
    +
+In [[characters/rod-palmer|Rod]]'s fantasy-draft Bitcoin cabinet he is the
+president, with David Zell of the Bitcoin Policy Institute as VP.[^cabinet] Earlier the
+bit ran him at Secretary of Education, on the theory that Bitcoin orange-pilling
+belongs in the public-school curriculum with Swan's blog as the department's
+resource.[^education] He is even given an origin as a converted man of the people:
+before politics he ran a podcast, "Smart People Shit," studying billionaires' bowel
+movements — a Preston Pysh parody the hosts treat as a legitimate path to becoming
+"the top orange pillar in human history."[^smartpeople]
    +
+## The Viagra bit and the conference ban
    +
+The single largest strand is sexual. Porter is a documented cure for erectile
+dysfunction — Greaser publishes a song, "Who Needs Viagra When You Got Dennis
+Porter,"[^viagrasong] and the closing prescription for a struggling friend is to
+"prescribe them some Dennis Porter"[^prescribe] — escalating over two years into the
+flat claim that "one of the powerful things that Dennis Porter is offering the world
+is is men no longer need Viagra."[^noviagra] His edge over [[characters/david-bailey|David
+Bailey]] in the [[storylines/maxi-madness|bracket]] is stated as pure clinical fact:
+"Dennis cures erectile dysfunction and David doesn't."[^edcure]
    +
+The gag's physical form is a **mechanical penis** at the Vegas venue kept permanently
+erect by Dennis Porter's timeline scrolling in front of it.[^mechanical] The same bit
+supplies the show's explanation for his years-long exclusion from the Bitcoin
+conference: [[characters/david-bailey|David Bailey]] "really wants women to show up …
+And if Dennis is walking around and all the dudes are hard, it's really just not a very
+friendly place for the ladies."[^mechanical] Guest Tatum's countermeasure for
+interviewing him on camera is "Anti boner underwear,"[^antiboner] and when
+[[characters/luke-dashjr|Luke Dashjr]]'s definition of pornography — anything sexually
+arousing — is run to its conclusion, "then Dennis Porter would have to be
+banned."[^lukeporn] The rule survives even inside the show's own dating advice: Porter
+is the standing carve-out to the rule that "Michael Sailor shouldn't be making you
+horny."[^saylorcarveout] Asked who is the John Holmes of orange pilling, Greaser
+overrules the premise and awards the title to Porter.[^johnholmes]
    +
+His ejection from the conference is treated as a **credential**. He was "picked up"
+and removed from Nashville alongside the plebs, which the hosts read as protocol-level
+censorship of the network.[^ejected] Being "thrown out of the last Bitcoin magazine
+conference" places a guest "in the company of some pretty elite Bitcoiners."[^elite]
+Greaser claims a four-year "let Dennis speak" campaign — petitions, trended hashtags,
+years of tweeting at David Bailey[^letdennis] — that finally pays off in 2026, when
+Dennis Porter makes the [[orgs/podconf|PODCONF]] main stage "for the first time ever"
+and Greaser reports getting "a raging erection" watching him walk by.[^onstage]
    +
    +## The oracle of consensus
    +
+In the [[storylines/core-vs-knots-war|Core-versus-Knots war]] Porter functions as an
+oracle nobody will act without. Greaser holds that Porter personally "decided the the
+fate of the block size wars" by declaring himself a small blocker, "so we're waiting
+for Dennis Porter to make this decision" before anyone can safely pick a
+side.[^blocksize] The whole war, Rod concludes, will be won by "whoever Dennis Porter
+picks."[^whoeverpicks] When Porter finally does flag a side — attacking "Bitcoin
+influencers that don't run nodes" — Rod's objection is epistemic rather than
+political: there is no way to confirm whether a podcaster actually runs a
+node.[^nodes] Rod later reads the Knots advocacy as bought: "it seems like Dennis
+Porter is working for knots. It almost seems like he's being paid," inspired only when
    +orange-pilling Democrats.[^paid]
    +
+## Canada and the export model
    +
+The orange-pilling arc runs into [[storylines/canada-watch|Canada]] as annexation
+logistics: if Canada becomes the 51st state, "Dennis Porter is going to be landing in
+Ottawa" to sell a strategic reserve.[^ottawa] Absent that, the show hunts for a local
+substitute and crowns [[characters/brad-mills|Brad Mills]] "the Canadian Dennis
+Porter,"[^bradmills] a verdict Greaser carries forward as consensus.[^bradmills2] The
+title later passes to [[characters/cryptomags|CryptoMags]], reframed as Canada's answer
+to a Dennis Porter "for all these laws he's been getting passed."[^cryptomags]
    +
+## The North Korea captivity (2025–2026)
    +
+Late in the run the announcement bit metastasizes into a missing-persons storyline.
+Buster Cherry's cold open reports that "Dennis Porter is indeed missing and that he
+was captured by the North Koreans in a daring plot" to stop American politicians being
+orange-pilled — with the side effect that "erectile dysfunction has been cured across
+the country" in Pyongyang.[^kidnap] The wire dispatches keep running: he "still remains
+in North Korea,"[^stillnk] and [[characters/kim-jong-un|Kim Jong Un]] is said to be
+weaponizing him to win the quantum-computing race and claim Satoshi's coins, a smuggled
+photo showing him "very skinny and dehydrated."[^quantum] His absence is mourned deadpan
+as a civilizational hardship,[^absence] his lobbying "job" is reported fully automated
+by an announcement bot,[^bot] and by mid-2026 the captivity is settled backstory
+invoked without explanation — "it's not like Dennis Porter's even he he's not even in
    +North Korea anymore."[^backfromnk]
    +
+## The bit on the timeline
    +
+If the episodes worship Dennis Porter, the Bugleverse's X accounts *operate* him — a
    +years-long performance in which [[orgs/podconf|the Bugle]], [[characters/rod-palmer|Rod
+Palmer]] and [[characters/richard-greaser|Richard Greaser]] run the same devotions as a
+live wire feed. He is the corpus's single most-posted non-host: 406 matched posts, 198 of
+them from [@bitcoin_bugle](https://x.com/bitcoin_bugle) alone. Henry files the strands
+below because the timeline is where the joke actually moves — the transcripts describe the
    +cult; the posts *are* it.
    +
+### The announcement, and its absence
    +
+The wire treats a Porter tweet as a market utility and its silence as a crisis. The
+foundational gag is that price is not real until he ratifies it — "$100k is not official
+until Dennis Porter makes the announcement."[^t-100k] The counterpart is the **drought
+report**, a recurring bulletin measuring how long he has gone quiet, filed as breaking
    +financial news:
    +
+> "BREAKING: Dennis Porter hasn't tweeted an announcement in 9 days‼️ Bitcoin dropped
+> below $92k on Monday after news that Dennis Porter hasn't posted anything since December
+> 21 spooked already rattled markets."
    +> — [@bitcoin_bugle, 2024-12-30](https://x.com/bitcoin_bugle/status/1873804013139091752)
    +
    +![](/tweets/1873804013139091752-0.jpg)
    +
+The infrastructure grows to match: Bloomberg is reported "adding Dennis Porter
+announcements to Terminal,"[^t-terminal] and when the announcements do land, the timeline
+insists they are hollow — "Thousands Mute & Unfollow Dennis Porter After Latest
+'Nothingburger' Announcement."[^t-block] The reverence and the ridicule are the same post
+seen from two sides; by his own colleagues the [[storylines/dennis-porter-saga|announcement
+economy]] is both sacred and spam.
    +
    +### #BringDennisHome
    +
+The [North Korea captivity](#the-north-korea-captivity-20252026) plays out on the wire as a
+sustained missing-persons campaign. Through December 2025 the drought counter and the
+kidnapping storyline fuse — "Dennis Porter has not tweeted in 10 days"[^t-10days] shades
+into a hostage vigil complete with a bipartisan hashtag, warm-up shirts, a prediction
+market, and a rescue command structure:
    +
+> "BREAKING: Jason Lowery appointed Special Assistant and direct advisor to the Commander
+> of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command to lead effort on securing Dennis Porter. It's been 27 days
    +> since Dennis Porter's last tweet #BringDennisHome"
    +> — [@bitcoin_bugle, 2025-12-24](https://x.com/bitcoin_bugle/status/2003624829371797954)
    +
    +![](/tweets/2003624829371797954-0.jpg)
    +
+[[characters/kim-jong-un|Kim Jong Un]] is written as the hostage-taker who refuses to
+negotiate, reclassifying his captive as sovereign infrastructure — he "Will Not Be
+Returning Dennis Porter As He Sees 'The Dennis Porter Strategic Reserve' As Matter Of
+National Security And Sovereignty."[^t-nk] The bit outlives its own resolution: the eventual
+return is filed as market news — "Bitcoin Price Skyrockets As Dennis Porter Returns To
    +Twitter Ending 91 Day Announcement Drought"[^t-return] — and even a Netflix true-crime doc,
+"Investigating The Mysterious Disappearance of Dennis Porter."[^t-netflix]
    +
    +### Rod's private devotion
    +
+Where the Bugle account is institutional, [[characters/rod-palmer|Rod]]'s Porter posts are
+personal to the point of derangement — the hanger-on the character pages describe, caught in
+the wild. He names a child after the man ("This is my middle son Dennis Porter Palmer before
+my Bitcoin Meetup's Christmas party tonight"),[^t-son] narrates non-KYC cigarettes "with ross
+ulbricht and dennis porter at the @VibeCapitalMgmt party,"[^t-cigs] and, in the single most
+on-brand artifact in the file, documents the exact moment the devotion is requited:
    +

    +> "i finally got dennis porter's attention" — [@rodpalmerhodl, 2025-05-30](https://x.com/rodpalmerhodl/status/1928254382849634635)
    +
+The worship is never uncritical, though, and Rod is also the loudest heckler: "litecoin is
+dunking on dennis porter,"[^t-ltc] he reports, before ruling that "dunking on dennis porter
+is non-partisan."[^t-dunk] Same man, same day — the character's whole contradiction in two
    +posts.
    +
+### Deity, cure, and free agent
    +
+The rest of the corpus's obsessions all surface as posts. The **deification**: passed over by
+TIME, the Bugle rules that "The Person of the Year should be Dennis Porter,"[^t-time] and
+later reframes him in [[storylines/dennis-porter-saga|Strauss–Howe]] terms — "Dennis Porter
+was our 4th Turning Man. Now that it's the 1st Turning, in his absence we must strive to all
    +be Dennis Porter's in our own lives."[^t-turning]
    +
    +![](/tweets/1867313817308320039-0.jpg)
    +
+The **Viagra strand** runs verbatim from the episodes — a "Who Needs Viagra When You Got
+Dennis Porter?" post[^t-viagra] and the claim that "@ScottiePippen says Dennis Porter visited
+him in a wet dream."[^t-pippen] The **orange-pilling** arc reaches for ever-higher targets: he
+is dispatched "to the Vatican to orange pill the new pope. Papal Bitcoin Reserve incoming?!"[^t-vatican]
    +
    +![](/tweets/1915799282147267001-0.jpg)
    +
+And the [[storylines/core-vs-knots-war|Core-versus-Knots]] intrigue plays out as personnel
+rumor — "Bitcoin Core is considering hiring Dennis Porter to handle their public relations.
+Anything would be an improvement at this point,"[^t-core] countered by the Knotzis tapping him
+as "Chief Bullish Announcements Strategist."[^t-knots] Through it all the timeline maintains
+his purity with a straight face: "🚨BREAKING: Dennis Porter Has Never Taken Money From Ripple
    +#BitcoinOnly."[^t-ripple]
    +
    +## Heresies
    +
+The reverence is never quite universal, and the show enjoys puncturing it. Rod concedes
+early that Porter "might be compromised."[^compromised] Guest [[characters/btckaz|BTCKaz]],
+who works on the Oklahoma bills, quietly notes he does not "converse with Dennis that
+often."[^kaz] Offered Porter as the floor for podcaster seriousness,
+[[characters/matt-odell|Matt Odell]] answers flatly, "that's a pretty low
+bar."[^odell] Guest Bubba dismisses the whole edifice — "who the fuck is Dennis Porter?
+Nobody"[^bubba] — and even as a unit of legitimacy he is deflationary, invoked to
+belittle: Jared Kushner is merely "the Dennis Porter of The Middle East."[^kushner]
    +
+> irl: Dennis Porter is a real Bitcoin policy advocate, founder of the Satoshi Action
+> Fund, known for high-volume "breaking" announcements and photographs with state
+> legislators. His canonical Bugleverse debut was declining a World Economic Forum
+> Young Leaders invitation because he could "get more Twitter followers and meetings
+> with important people" on his own.[^wef] The satire exaggerates the self-importance
+> only slightly, then multiplies it by the entire cast's devotion.
    +
    +## Note on the name
    +
+The ASR rarely spells him right. Across the corpus he surfaces as **Danish Porter,
+Dennis Poirier, Dennis Port, Dallas Porter, Dennis Orange, Dennis Pruitt, Dennis
+Quater, Dennis Coroner, Dennis Burton, Demispard** and **Goodpuego**, plus the
+deliberate pun **penis daughter**. Because the show says his name constantly, most
+beats survive the mangling on context alone; the `aliases:` are here so a mechanical
+scan does not lose the episodes where "Dennis Porter" never appears cleanly.
